I frequently dine here for lunch. The service is good. The selection is good and the food is consistently good. The restaurant is located in an old building, so there is a certain amount of charm. There is a good selection of appetizers, salads and sandwiches. There normally a "meat and three" special. Silly to complain, but their ice tea... More

We were staying one night in Alexander City and there didn't seem to be a lot of places to choose from for an early dinner. We were certainly glad we chose Jake's. The food was good. I chose blackened tilapia with wild rice and broccoli, which was very fresh and tasty. My husband had chicken and fries. It was good... More

I took my sister to Jake's for her birthday. The food was delicious and the portions were very good. We even had to take part of our lunch home with us.

Service - great. Food - excellent. Atmosphere - fine. This is the best place in town. Four trips now and never left disappointed.

This restaurant is smallish but has good food and excellent service. It's always clean with floors shining. In later visits which is after church on Sunday, we almost always choose the chicken fingers, which are delicious. The bill runs $20-$25, with tea, tax and tip.

We stopped in after a long day of traveling, and the food was great. We had a group of 5, and the hostess was accommodating. We ordered five different meals and all five were great.

Have only eaten on Sundays so the menu is limited usually 3 meats to choose from. We've had their pot roast and ham which were great. I've seen their fried chicken which very good but have not tried it. Their sides are normally typical Southern cuisines (butter beans, corn, purple hull peas, Cole slaw, mash potatoes with brown gravy...). They... More

We ate here April 9, 2016. We had the 3 appetizer option: fried Wickle's pickles, fried mushrooms, and fried green tomatoes. I had the blackened shrimp alfredo. My wife had the catfish tacos. Delicious! Portions were big but the Alfredo sauce was not the best I've had. Tacos were excellent. Appetizers were also good. The fried Wickle's pickles were much... More

This is a local establishment where the fare is more of cafe food with most everything fried. There are a few other options grilled; about what you'd expect. There are several private areas making it good for large (25) meetings or small groups. Prices are reasonabl so that you don't mind taking out the fam on a week night. The... More

This restaurant is very nice. It has old floors, high ceilings, and a great atmosphere. The service was great and food declicious. I had the fried shrimp. Being from Louisiana, I was afraid I would be disappointed, but it was just as good as what we have at home!
