We took my parents to Catfish Cabin for their birthdays. We had not been there in a long time. They had fried gulf shrimp and catfish. They really enjoyed both. They also love the coleslaw. The hush puppies are still the best I've ever had. It's difficult not to fill up on them before other food arrives. My wife and... More

This was possibly the best catfish I've had. I had the half pound catfish fillets with onion rings. Both was great. My friends had the catfish sandwiches and they both said they were awesome. They bring out coleslaw and hushpuppies to start while waiting for our meal. Word to the wise, don't fill up on these! It is very tempting,... More

If you have all night to wait on food this is the place for you. Half of the dining room was empty and the other half was waiting on the food. When we did get the food the entire was hot but the fries were soggy and limp. We asked for fresh fries and she brought out the exact same... More

More fish then one person can eat. If you like fried fish, this is a fresh, crispy, and tasty meal for two. We also had the calabash shrimp, this was also good. And if your meal is not enough, they bring you all the hush puppies and Coleslaw you want.

Wonderful catfish farm raised. Sides are all good but the slaw is the best. Relaxed atmosphere and a local favorite. Good pricing.

I grew up going here and any time I am in the area I still go to eat here Food is not Florida style seafood but is very good for North Alabama area. The slaw, hush puppies and catfish are excellent southern style. A little on the greasy side but isn't all southern style food? Have had their shrimp and... More

My wife and I often travel a few miles to dine at this 'down home' restaurant. The other night I really wanted some oysters (fried country style) Now, this is not a coastal seafood place, but for North Alabama it is very good! And the fried oysters were just Fine. The great fried catfish, hushpuppies and cole slaw are a... More

Multiple good items on the menu that are worth the try; however I especially loved the hushpuppies, which I recommend you dip in their tarter sauce. Take the time, ignore the lack of ambiance, and enjoy some great sea food. Mmmmm!

I grew up going to this place. Great catfish, hushpuppies, slaw, and even the blackened shrimp is good. This is an old folks paradise. You'll think it's an assisted living..... But these folks have the most experience so I think we should pay attention to where they eat. Very good food.

An endless supply of hush puppies and cole slaw but anything that you order is prepared just right. I like the catfish strips best
