I ate here with a large group that the staff accommodated wonderfully - even when we arrived much earlier than our reservations and stayed past closing. They were fantastic! Oyster appetizers were perfect. Sea bass - fantastic.

A birthday dinner selection and what a winner.Pricey but about as good as seafood gets, super fresh with imagination in preparation. The menu is not that large but every choice offered a conceptual adventure. I had the Big eyed tuna, the combination of ingredients was effusive and complimentary. The desserts were at another level, as good as i have ever... More

My husband and I had dinner here our last night of vacation. This restaurant is located in a residential area and although it was located only 4 miles from hotel, we had to take a Lyft car to get there. There are no Metro stops anywhere close to their location. Once we arrived however, we felt very welcomed and well... More

We went here for our anniversary dinner and had a wonderful time. We enjoyed the clam chowder which is very unique and flavorful. We also enjoyed the crab cake very much! Our entrees were also wonderful! We enjoyed the Gemfish and Swordfish and the flavors were on point and the fish fired perfectly. For desert we ordered the homemade ice... More

Best seafood place in Washington, very nice soft shell crab appetizers and fresh oysters in several varieties. I liked the cl chowder and addies mussels as well. They charge a $25 corkage fee if you want to bring your own special wine

This is a very good restaurant. I especially enjoyed the crab cakes with soft boiled eggs one Sunday. I do find the food very rich and couldn't eat here often.

When you walk into this place you are really not sure if its a fish monger or a restaurant . Actually it's both. The restaurant uses high quality ingredients and focuses on its reputation for fish. The dishes are of the highest quality, beautifully prepared and the wine list is extensive and reasonably priced. The staff are pleasant and knowledgeable... More

Black Salt was our favorite seafood restaurant (perhaps favorite restaurant period) in DC when we lived in Washington and continues to be during return visits. We had lunch there yesterday and every item was exceptional. We had 6 varieties of oysters as a starter, and main plates of fish tacos, seafood stew and crab cake were excellent. The long-running butterscotch... More
