We always split a muffin and some coffee and get work done here on the weekends. A great place for kicking back on a Sunday afternoon.

Popped in for doughnuts but not something they make. Had aforementioned cookie and slice of pecan pie - both delicious. Well worth a visit.

If it meant I could be close to this place then I need to give ole Hillary and Donald a run for their money! This place was amazing! Great bakery and breakfast food! Nice folks at the counter, very helpful and patient while we scoured the menu. Nice place and I would highly recommend.

Stopped in for a quick treat. Service was friendly and quick and the cookies were delicious! We had a lemon cookie and a chocolate espresso cookie. Very tasty and VERY reasonable prices. Best deal I found the whole week I was in DC! Make sure to stop in for a treat, coffee, or light lunch.

Feeling a little hungry after the Library of Congress visit we decided to give the Firehook Bakery a try. Siri led us there. It was pouring rain so a hot cup of coffee seemed in order. We ordered the coffee but decided to also get a half of a panini, soup and of course a giant cookie. The soup and... More

Had the lunch special with 1/2 sandwich and a salad. Very good. But the big hit of the day was the President cookie. Went back a second day just for the cookie.

Great for breakfast. Good variety of omelettes, pastries, bagels and breakfast sandwiches. Fast friendly service. Good coffee, good atmosphere. Have eaten at a couple of locations and have been pleased with each.

This is a good bakery and coffee shop, conveniently located downtown. Service was friendly, there were choices aplenty, and it's reasonable priced for DC.

The employees here are very nice! The prices are definitely fair. It's my go-to cafe because of its ample seating and location. I do have to say that some of their baked goods are hit and miss, namely the croissants and scones. The croissants (especially the ham and cheese one, as well as the almond one) are undercooked at times.... More
