O.k if you're in a hurry and want to eat fast. I recommend the indian stall. If you have time go to the top of the post office for a BEAUTIFUL panoramic view of D.C!! GORGEOUS!

When we visited, it was just after Christmas (12/27/13) and there were so few food choices from which to choose but the one we opted for tanked. I've had better chicken salad bought from a grocery store and it just killed me to pay $20 for 2 sandwiches, 1 drink (to share) and 1 half-empty bag of chips.

The entrance was not clearly marked - maybe due to the government shutdown, which limits visitors to just the mall I.e. No access to the tower. The first thing you get immediately through the door is a security screening station with three surely guards. It's the first time I have had to take off my watch - I think the... More

Attraction for us was the ride to the top of the tower which gives a great view over the city on a clear day. We did not eat here the food looked average at best and it was crazily busy.

Starting with our postal founding father out front--Ben Franklin welcomes you to this old, lovely structure. Since we don't eat fast food, the restaurants have no appeal for us. But walking through and enjoying the atmosphere is fun. One of these visits we want to get to the top of the tower to see the view.

I was there with a group of 5th and 6th graders. There was plenty of variety in the food choices, including some chain restaurants and some local places. We were there right during the lunch rush hour and it was hard to find an empty table and enough chairs for everyone.

PROS Location Variety of cuisines (Greek, deli, Mexican, hot dogs, Indian) Beautiful Building CONS Crowded even mid-afternoon (2pm), difficult to get a table to comfortably seat 5 Pricey for small portions and mall food court tasting food Dirty floors and tables Must go through security I'd suggest the Old Post Office Food Court only if you're in a hurry and... This place has very little to offer other than its past history. I understand it is up for sale and some high end retail store will be established and perhaps a hotel, too.

Crazy Busy, but if you're looking for cheap and relatively quick food in between museum tours, this is a good place to try. They had a wide variety of options. But if you see a tour bus full of people go in right before you do, you might want to try something else.

I went to D.C. in May for my 8th grade BETA club trip. This was horrible. It took me a while to even figure out which restaurant would be safe for me to eat at! The Greek food smelled horrible, and I didn't want to eat at most of the restaurants, so I ate at the little deli. It wasn't... More
