In many decades coming to DC I never saw this place. I ordered the salmon niciois and everything was fresh. The little cafe reminds me of some of the regular cafés in Lyon. The food is clean and simple. You order at the counter and pickup from the counter. However since I have a challenge the delivered to my table.... More

French Flair. Some items are better than others but the breakfast is best and served during lunch too. This is a very tight little place so expect to rub shoulders.

There is nothing fancy about Le Bon Cafe, the the food is good and the atmosphere is relaxed. The location is across the street from the Library of Congress Madison Building - which is very convenient to Capitol Hill. There may be limited seating, but if the weather is nice, you could take the food to the seating in front... More

Had a latte and roast beef for lunch here. Friendly staff, nice inside and out. The pastries all look good, I'll be back for more.

In midst of the Women's March, Le Bon Cafe opened its doors and made us feel welcome. So worth the wait. Watching them make the chocolate croissants by hand. Gourmet hot coffees. Little baked treats. I will be back.

We went on a Sunday as the other place we had been going to for breakfast was closed. The food was very similar to a Corner Street bakery or a Panera.

This is a lovely place for a quick lunch, breakfast or just a coffee. One of the best places for coffee on the Hill. It can get crowded, as it's just a small place. Very European feel.

I was attracted to this place because of the adorable window seat with cushion/pillows. However, I stayed and went back like 5 times because of the food and coffee! :) The ham & cheese croissant is perfect...toasted to a perfect airy crispness. Also, the Baked Egg Strata and Ham Quiche were wonderfully done as well. Cappuccino and Cafe au lait... More

We stayed the week in the Capitol Hotel next door so the convenience was perfect for a short stroll to a local breakfast cafe. There isn't much seating, however, if you can get the window seat, you can have your breakfast with a view of the Library of Congress. I discovered the breakfast croissant and returned every morning all week... More
