There is no menu. You are served a series of small plates of creative and elegantly prepared food. There is a Greek background, but none of the dishes are the traditional classics. So maybe you could call this nouvelle Greek cuisine. There is an outstanding collection of wine available to accompany the meal. One of our party was gluten intolerant,... More

Father-in-law had a big birthday and we knew exactly where we wanted to take them on their trip in from out-of-town. However for the first time in four visits, we were disappointed. The finale was superb as usual — the goat had an amazing sear on it and was perfectly balanced with the tzatziki and the hyper spicy/delicious spicy accompaniment,... More

I have been going to restaurants in DC over the past 20+ years when I am in town, which is 3-4 times a year, and have found THE gem. Komi is best experienced through their tasting menu where each dish surpasses the previous one. My sister treated me to dinner here two nights ago and we are still talking about... More

Komi is a very expensive splurge that lived up to its hype. The menu consists of the server asking if there were any allergies, likes or dislikes. From there the food was tailored to each guest at the table. The essence of a tasting menu is for the kitchen to show off its skill. The Komi kitchen was dazzling the... More

I was surprised at my experience at Komi, because I have always heard such grand things about it. I did have high expectations, based on what I was told. But it was very average to me. The service first off, seemed far too pretentious. I have been to many fine dining establishments, and am very open minded. But our waiter... More

Fabulous, innovative, friendly. A treat. Great wait staff, amazing dishes. Sommelier is adorable/an educator. Every "bite" is like a birthday present.

We went to Komi last night for an amazing meal paired perfectly with mostly European wines. It is a fixed price menu with optional wine pairing. There is no menu, they just feed and amaze you. I won't elaborate on the courses but there were about 12 of them. They start small and end hearty and like s Greek family... More

I knew nothing about Komi except the address as I left Reagan Airport with my bags and only 1/2 hour to get to my dinner meeting. Uber could get me to the block, but neither of us could see any signage, so I just told him to drop me off. While trying to get my bearings, this fella was unlocking... More

The restaurant feels tucked away as it doesn't scream restaurant from the exterior and its relatively small size makes it feel intimate. Staff are friendly and helpful. We did the wine pairing and enjoyed the food. It's hard to believe you will feel stuffed as all you eat are bite sized portions of things (circa 12-14 courses) but I struggled... More

We went to Komi for the first time to celebrate an occasion, having dined at Little Serrow several times with great satisfaction. We were most pleased being seated at the best table, and with the congenial and knowledgeable staff who made us feel comfortable and special. We were surprised, however, how many of the 14 dishes were only good or... More
