We had a wonderful meal here. The ambiance was great, especially knowing that JFK, Jackie and so many other Washington notables have dined here. The food was better than your typical pub fare. I enjoyed a delicious beet and goat cheese salad as a starter....More

I found this gem on Trip Advisor. When we got there at 6pm the place was already packed so we sat at the bar. Everything was absolutely perfect. The drinks were tall and perfectly made, the crab dip was to die for, the large prime...More

I absolutely loved this place! Not only was there so much history in one building, several presidents have visited, but the service and food were superb. I will definitely be back next time I'm in Georgetown!

Old historic Georgetown tavern with great atmosphere, food, drinks and service. Well known for tavern fare, the crab cakes made of lump crabmeat were delicious. Excellent selection os apps, sandwiches, soups, and entrees. We had a very nice lunch.

I believe children are welcome here but it is more of a college bar and grill atmosphere.

At Martin's Tavern, every sitting president from Truman to G.W. Bush has dined. Ask your server to point out the booth where JFK proposed to Jackie.
