A long time favorite since they opened, we visit whenever we are in D.C. We love the casual atmosphere in the wine bar with all same excellent food as in the dining room. Their pig’s feet and cassoulet are brilliant, but there is not an item we do not love. All carefully and well prepared and served

We found this restaurant by accident and decided to try and we were not disappointed! The escargot was yummy and the entire meal was wonderful. We ate in the main dining room, which is a little small but we were lucky to get a table in the corner that normally seats 4. We would recommend if staying near Georgetown.

First time here, they have live Jazz every Monday and Wednesday eve starting at 7pm. Sat at the bar and service was amazing and their prix-fixe dinner is a fantastic deal and the food, delicious! Coupled with the lovely French Jazz singer, a truly memorable and delightful evening!

This was our second dinner here, this time as a party of five, and again we enjoyed it thoroughly. The background noise level was low enough that conversation was easy despite the diameter of the table we sat around. Service was excellent and, most importantly, there was virtually no overlap in what we ordered; and every dish that came out... More

Go here to experience the "real" D.C. crowd and enjoy very good French bistro cuisine. It was PACKED and bustling when we ate there (on a Saturday). Service was exellent, and the food was very good. I have had better escargots, but the veal fricasse - the evening's special - was excellent. Authentic French feeling in every way!

I have lived in France and this was good French food. Ir you think there will be 3 Michelin stars because it's French Nd in DC you'll be disappointed. Enjoy it for what it is: a great bistro. The food was based on traditional recipes but given individual character. Foie gras was a great start and the pork cheeks were... More

Once again, it's always great to go back to Bistro Lepic where you can find your favorite dishes like the braised veal cheeks and new delicious items in the menu, service is alway great and friendly, I can't wait to go back next time I am in DC.

For a Sunday lunch to celebrate our friend's 90th birthday, we chose to eat French food at Bistrot Lepic. We were seated in the window at a small table. The excellent waitress came almost immediately. We selected a champagne to go with our food which included a small onion quiche, followed by trout entre, cassoulet, and an omelette with bacon,... We were in DC, have eaten here repeatedly over the years, and this night, a Saturday night, was a total miss. The food was so-so, uninspired. I had a special, a fish dish, and it was overcooked, boring. We had dessert, and then they brought us the check without asking whether we cared for some coffee. What? And then, it... More

Dear Clemence, We want to thank you for your review and express our apology for the experience you had this past Saturday night. We would have loved the opportunity to change your fish entree as you did find it over cooked, if only you had mentioned it when your server checked on your entrees. We have been in business for... There are many fine restaurants in Washington DC and many fine neighborhood restaurants. With the help of friends, we stumbled upon a small French bistro in NW Washington not far from the Dumbarton Oaks--the Bistrot Lepic. What a pleasant surprise. The menu was not extensive but it had meat, fish, chicken and vegetarian selections along with a few specials. The wine... More
