nice clean spot, I believe reservations are needed not sure but suggest you do, pay to park is a better option unless you want to ride around looking for a meter, my party of 2 arrived 20 min earlier than reservation time but we were seated w/o waiting. Ms Desi was our waitress, wonderful lady friendly warm personable and attentive... More

I was here for drinks and small bites with friends and first and foremost - the worst service I've received anywhere in D.C. It was super bad, having to flag down a waiter and/or ask the bartender for the simplest things (like a menu for dinner or drinks). It was almost impossible to get service. When the food and drinks... More

I attended a BNI business meeting in their private room with about 35 people. That about maxed out the space. The room was very quiet for our meeting. The food was very good as was service.

The happy hour deals at Beacon are hard to beat. Good food, good drink, great prices! The bartender I had, Richard, is always a delight; he's recognized me for a few years now when I pay a visit to my friends and the city every 6 months. The atmosphere is perfect - modern design, not too loud but not quiet... More

Party of 4 for Brunch. Pleasant atmosphere , attentive wait staff, quality food. Nice selection of breakfast foods and lunch. Would have like to have more fish or meat choices for lunch for the price but you are paying for the location and hotel. Enjoyed our brunch, will be back. Recommend making a reservation.

Ate dinner here on a weeknight. The place was mostly empty. It looks like they tried to update the dining room without replacing the carpet/paneling, and it shows. Nonetheless, an acceptable dining room. Varied menu with interesting entrees. I had a a Caesar salad and the chicken with polenta and brussels sprouts. The Caesar was very good; just a hint... More

This place has really nice views of the city but I found the customer service (both table service and at the bar) to be very slow and rude. Food was whatever. Happy hour prices were decent. Overall I thought it was below average and I'm surprised at the good reviews. It also lacked any personality/ambience in my opinion. Pretty tourist-y.

The chips (fries) were great and 1/2 price coctails every evening between 4-7pm. The staff are also very friendly and accomodating.

Food served was of average quality while the drinks were extremely expensive. Walk up the street to Constitution avenue for better deals.

Description
Designer Walter Gagliano second visioning of BBG introduced a fresh, and romantic feel to BBG. Vermeer’s portrait of “Girl with a Pearl Earring” was the muse leading to creating the new look. “Our original goal was to bring the space to a cleaner more contemporary vibe, when we discovered the over scaled Vermeer print , originally created by Philipe Stark was on the market, our fondness for bold romanticism found expression and led our fabric and lighting choices in a different direction" stated Mr. Gagliano. Chef Steven Hunter introduces a new menu complementing the new look with his own re-interpretation of classic American comfort foods that are stimulating to the palate and eye, Chef Hunter states: “We produce our own charcuterie and fresh signature sausages from organic meats, ninety percent of our fish are sustainably raised or caught in the Chesapeake Bay area. ”We are committed to support local producers, who are dedicated to environmentally, sustainable agriculture.”
