I stopped here for lunch after getting off the train, and I thought the East Street Cafe was an excellent choice. It is not expensive, and service is quick. The food was really delicious. I had the grilled chicken barbecue which was 3 skewers of chicken accompanied by a nice salad, for $12. I would go there again without any... More

East Street Cafe hasn't changed in the 17 years I've been going - and that's fine. The food is tasty and delivered quickly, there are options for everyone - Thai, Korean, FIlipino, and more cuisines are featured here. I personally go for the noodle dishes or the curries pretty much every time. Don't go thinking the wine will be good,... More

This place is located in Union Station and we ended up here because it smelled so great when we walked by. The service was average and the food was surprisingly good. The spicy basil chicken was awesome. They do not have a kids menu which made it a little difficult for my kids but they were all able to find... More

We stopped in here for a quick bite to eat, were hungry for Thai, and found this great little restaurant on the upper level of union station. They offer a variety of dishes from many Asian countries. We had the fresh summer rolls (Phillipines) that were a nice somewhat sweet start, then had the Singaporean noodles, a nice yellow curry... More

We had spent a day sight seeing and were going to catch our shuttle which departs from Union Station. We decided to grab a quick meal and were not disappointed. The service was efficient, the meal tasty and generous in size and price reasonable.

On the second level of Union Station is a small, eclectic Asian restaurant. Chinese fried rice dishes, Thai curries, and large noodle soups were all tasty and filling. The menu includes some Korean, Japanese, Filipino and Vietnamese options too. Not too spicy. Even a "very hot" dish was a tad mild. For the location, this place is very good.

Better food than expected in a railway station. I had my first General Tso's Chicken here. It is in a relatively quiet corner of Union Station.

I love the Grilled Veggies!! They give you a choice of brown or white rice and a generous portion of grilled veggies including zucchini, carrots, stringed beans, onions, mushrooms, broccoli and three wonderful rectangles of grilled tofu. The teriyaki sauce is delicious.

Decent meal while waiting for the train. I think right now it's the best restaurant at Union Station.

The last time I was traveling in Washington, DC, I was on my way out of the city and looking for somewhere to grab a quick meal in Union Station and kill some time before catching my train back home. I was lucky enough to find the East Street Cafe tucked away on the upper mezzanine on the opposite end... More
