We went here on a whim. Got through shopping and dropped in. Got a great window seat. Nice environment and crowd. We had the chefs specials of cod and scallops. Delicious. This place is not cheap. One salad, two entrees, tiramisu (outstanding) a bottle of wine($110 with mark up 3x) and two after dinner drinks was over $300 with tip.... More

A fine establishment of DC and a place frequently visited by govt. officials and cabinet members. Good food and good service

A great place to go for drinks more than the food, very fun to go with friends and have a good time, food is not great neither is the service, but you see a lot of people

My wife and I have been there several times, and always enjoy ourselves. It's expensive. With a glass of wine, a shared pasta, entree apiece and a shared dessert, you are close to $200, but well worth it. I always have a fish entree and have never been disappointed.

We were looking for a place near our hotel, and a nice lady in Chevy Chase told us that if we wanted a wonderful Italian meal with star power, this would be the place. After a few minutes at the bar,we were seated at a lovely window table and treated to an excellent meal!Veal is a specialty here,so I had the pounded veal... The food was merely good, but that doesn't cut it for the prices and type of place Cafe Milano presents itself as. Yet the place is bustling as other reviewers note. Like the experience of others a reservation doesn't mean you will be seated promptly, not to mention getting menus or acknowledged by the waitstaff. Adding to the disappointment they... More

We loved the food and the offerings at Cafe Milano. The portions, especially considering the prices charged, were not generous. The service, ambience, etc. was all great. And, it is in a great location in Georgetown, off Wisconsin Ave and very close to M street. We'd go back.

Went here today at 3.30 with my mom, hoping to enjoy a mid afternoon bottle of wine and light meal on the sunny terrace, which was only half full, with most patrons at the end of their lunch. We were rudely and abruptly told this was not an option unless we were having dinner. At 3.30 in the afternoon???? Very... More

Went to cafe Milano for Sunday brunch. Really excellent value and a great menu choice. Service as ever was excellent with a very warm friendly feel and welcome. A Georgetown institution and great authentic Italian food.

Description
Guests savor genuine Southern Coastal Italian cuisine in a setting reminiscent of a stylish Milan boutique. Framed designer scarves adorn the walls in a creative and colorful homage to Italian fashion. The ceiling gives way to coves of hand-painted murals celebrating Italian culture, including the stunning portrait of famed opera singer, Placido Domingo, in the room named in his honor. During warm-weather months, the front wall of floor-to-ceiling windows open onto an outdoor sidewalk patio, adding a touch of Northern Italy to the Georgetown streetscape, creating one of the most sought after dining spots in Washington. Since owner Franco Nuschese blazed onto the DC dining scene over twenty years ago, Cafe Milano has been a power center for diplomats, politicians, journalists, broadcasters, lobbyists, entertainers, and all who enjoy fine Italian food and gracious attentive service.
