We were so excited to have a full vegan brunch. At $35/person (booze not included), we thought it would be amazing. Sadly that was not the case. Brunch was fine, but the Whole Foods hot bar would honestly probably be better. I expected so much more from a fine dining establishment.

I have often enjoyed lunch and dinner here, as well as hosting dinners in their private rooms. As well I have had them cater a lunch in my office, when Todd Gray himself served the meal! This is a restaurant that continues to serve good food, with a fresh and varied menu aimed to suit patrons with different tastes and... More

Loved sitting at the bar in a wonderful atmosphere drinking claret and eating various starters. Particularly enjoyed meeting the restauranteur Todd Gray! Highly recommended.

We experienced excellent service for a table of ~15 at dinner on a Friday night. The wait staff was very quick to make sure our glasses were filled and the table cleared. They made everything seem easy and effortless. The food is not cheap, but for the location, you could do a lot worse. I'm not a vegetarian or vegan,... More

I needed a great venue for an important board-of-directors get-together. After checking out about a dozen places, we settled on Equinox, in part because of its reasonable corkage policy. We dealt with Chelsea, who made the experience as comfortable as one could imagine. She provided outstanding guidance, answering all our questions, including some we hadn't thought to ask. When I... FYI this is listed as "Dupont" neighborhood but it actually is a block from the 17th and I exit of Farragut West, in case you want to come by Metro. I had lunch at Equinox and although it was enjoyable, the dishes were uneven. I was a walk-in toward the end of lunch service and was greeted warmly. Chef Gray... More

Excellent food and service. Referred here by hotl I was staying at and glad I took their suggestion. A title pricy but worth it.

I came here on a cold night with my daughter expecting tasty food, and was unpleasantly surprised with flavorless and underwhelming food. I had the chestnut pasta and my daughter had the side portion of mac and cheese that was generously sized. Overall, I do not think the food was worth the exorbitant prices.

The Equinox is a solid performer, great for groups with a selection of fish, meat and vegetarian options. The food is good but not outstanding; the staff are great. Situated Downtown near the Whitehouse and numerous hotels, walking distance to a variety of touristic opportunities.

An hidden gem not far from the White House. After 17+ years the restaurant is well kept and still looks contemporary. The cuisine remains very good and with new vegan additions. Fresh Pastas and Risotos are delightful. The Mushroom/Chestnut soup is outstanding. The Artichokes Alla Romana are very well prepared and not greasy. The Duo Coq Au vin is a... More
