I had to taste for for fish today. Line was long because I went on Friday. Went slowly but picked up. The weather was good so they had run out of things so we were waiting for the fish but they were fresh & fried well.

I go there from time to time, and the fish is good and they move you as quickly as they can. The establishment is small and narrow and I think the staff work best on confusion, but the job gets done well. I just have a concern about pricing. I called to see how much a platter of whiting is.... More

Get a belly full of good ole DC fried fish or chicken. This place is a little end of the row single line all the way thru "joint" in Washington DC. Battered and Deep fried to a consistent goodness. Fries or couple usual sides. Always steamy hot inside and loud so don't be shy. Everybody's welcome, everybody's cool.

H&D's is as much a part of the D.C. eatery landscape as Ben's Chili Bowl. At H&D's, there is no ambiance, customer service is almost non-existent, and there's no room to sit down but the fish - oh my the fish - is worth the headaches. It's plentiful (albeit many broken pieces) and filling. It's best to make a food... More

Really simple setting with excellent home-style cooking. Horace & Dickie's is a DC institution and is very much worth a visit.

That this place would be so great! From the outside it doesn't look like much, but it totally fits the feel of it. A friend told me to try this place while on a road trip. The service is fantastic, they were incredibly welcoming and funny. Served me fried catfish on like wonder bread and it was delicious! Their Mac... More

Horace & Dickie's is a DC staple. They have been in this small spot for many years now. The fish is fresh, hot and delicious! The line can be long but it is worth the wait!

Hearing about all the high praise of the awesome seafood from this place I decided to give it a shot when in DC. I got a six piece fish, which turned out to be way more than six pieces. However, other than the large portions I wasn't all that impressed by the quality of the frying or the fish. The... More
