We had a party of six. While waiting for our reservation we were able to look at all the delicious desserts and people watch. It is very busy and the waiters all handle it with ease and good humor. It is crowed but it still lent an opportunity for our table to all have a lively conservation and lots of... More

Been to Filomena's a couple of times before. Delighted to see that nothing has changed, during my current visit. The same great atmosphere, large portions of legendary dishes, excellent wine selection, fantastic staff. Osso Buco or the signature lobster pasta dish, (a favorite of Pres. Reagan and Clinton), will not disappoint. Prepare for the large, FREE flasks of amaretto and... More

Since I'm on a budget, I prefer going at lunch. The dipping oil for the sourdough bread is amazing. My friend and I each had the soup special, which was the best chicken vegetable soup either of us have ever had, and we also shared the Arancini appetizer, which was sooooo good! A trip to their salad bar comes with... More

This was my first time visiting Filomena's and what a great experience it was! The food was amazing and the staff was truly incredible. They made our experience that much better. I went with a group of gals for a birthday so we shared tons of food. It was great to sample a little of a lot! Everyone that works... More

This wonderful Georgetown gem has it all. From the ladies in the window making the days pasta by hand to the after dinner Amaretto and Grappa drinks that come with the meal, this place has it all! And every bite of it is delicious. Come around a holiday where decorations are popular and you'll be met with the only decked... More

We went for dinner on Thanksgiving weekend after reading reviews online and craving Italian. It was everything you would expect - touristy, gimmicky and old school Italian. The service was quick and fast. Like they were trying to serve you quickly to get you out for the next table. The food was like having dinner at my own Nonna's house.... More

Located at walking distance of Georgetown's center this Italian restaurant has very deep American contamination (and it's normal and fair to be like this). Some dishes do not exist in the Italian cousine others are local adaptation (like the burrata made in house that has nothing to do with the real one). Overall the food is good, the service too... I do not like to give poor reviews, especially for a business in my hometown. I'm very careful about trying to speak to management directly before I leave the restaurant. But what happens when the manager is the problem? What happens when the manager is aggressively rude, goes berserk with a screaming rant and then doubles-down by blaming the customers... More

This was my second time to this restaurant. My friend was also here before. Last time I was there,I was not feeling and did not enjoy the meal. The restaurant has been around for about 33 years. It was decorated for Christmas. The menu is about 4 pages long: and lists all celebrities and presidents favorites. Food is good :Caesar... More

Great choice of Italian food in a very special place. We had to make a reservation to have dinner there and good that we did it cause the restaurant was completely full. The food is amazing, the dishes are very well served (big) and you can easily share, I mean, 1 dish for 2 people. Our best choice was "tortelloni... More
