This bar is in the Georgetown Westin and is not a lobby bar where one can people watch. You step down into the bar and it is a like a dark cave. We didn't stay to enjoy our drinks and took them to our room because the place was so creepy

Worst service I've ever had in a bar in DC. The bartender didn't seem to understand his job involved customer service; we were over charged for drinks; and, in general, neither the bartender or manager seemed to care about their very poor service even after it was pointed out. Their attitude seemed to be that we don't care if you're... More

Food ok...nothing special, expected more from DC restaurants especially connected to Westin. Place had maybe 2 other tables and our server disappeared after seating us..honestly think he was high..got food and again disappeared . Food mediocre, expensive for what it was

The place portrays itself as trendy perhaps that is why they believe they can get away with mediocre food and overpriced drinks ($17 for watery margarita!).

Stay away! We're staying at the Westin and my boss picked this restaurant for our last night dinner in town. The service was horrible and the drinks were horrible. We got margaritas that tasted terrible and we sent them back. I didn't quite get the explanation but the manager said the bartender made a pitcher of them using apple juice,... More

Good place for happy hour with a large group. It is very spacious, although a bit dark. Sometimes seems a bit understaffed- when it is crowded it does take a while for the waiter to bring drinks. The food is decent but there is a very good wine selection.

I liked this place a lot. They have a nice margarita, and and the mole enchiladas are the real deal. They have a variety of really good looking items, all very authentic looking. Very centrally located, service was excellent.

The bar needs to expand their selection of top-shelf liquor, but the bartender mixed up some good cocktails. The decor is dark wood and rather nice. The guacamole needed salt.

this restaurant is walking distance from the Westin Georgetown. everything served here is excellent. The seafood paella is the bomb. Our server Daisy was efficient and personable.

It's so sad that this Westin has never had good restaurants. It's in a good location and there are good restaurants around (see Blue Duck across the street at the Park Hyatt), but this is not one of them. Went recently at the recommendation of a co-worker. I was interested because my experience has always been poor -- the Caucus... More

Boveda - which literally means vault- is a Latin Speakeasy located in the West End neighborhood of Georgetown. Properly chaotic, casual, and affordable, Boveda is the clandestine destination for vibrant eclectic music, unique cocktails, and inspired modern Latin American dishes. Diners may enjoy various seating areas within the intimate space including raised booths, banquettes, communal tables, a lounge, a neighborhood bar, and a tavern-esque private area. This hidden gem reveals reclaimed wood ceilings and floors, Spanish pewter lanterns with filigree detailing, large antique mirrors, field stone walls, and vintage Cuban floor tiles. Private dining available as well.
