Restaurant a block away from the Chinese arch and the Metro Station. Food was good and plenty but a little bit expensive. Surprisingly dishes come with white rice only (no substitutions), so to have fried rice it must be ordered as a separate dish at $9.00 but it was very good. Service was good.

Food had a home cooked taste. Full of flavours. Speedy service. Decent value. Definitely worth a revisit.

I am not sure if this is the Wok and Roll Japanese restaurant, but the sushi is really good and extremely fresh. I did not get a chance to try the sake, but if you like sushi, a trip to this restaurant is well worth it.

Let's just say our expectations were a bit higher than the actual experience, considering we were in "Chinatown" -- just average Chinese food, not much different from a take-out order at a mall food court. Prices were reasonable for Washington fare, though, and the portions were generous...we easily could have shared an entree. The karaoke section was advertised, but we... More

I am really not sure where to start with this one.....So we sat outside and were one of three parties outdoors at the time. Two servers and a "busser" were all available (or appeared so) so we sat and waited (and waited). Literally 10-12 minutes went by before even being acknowledged by a single person (one of the servers sat... More

My family wanted Chinese food in Chinatown. Sister in law and granddaughter were very happy with this place. Right at noon and we got a table, service was friendly and quick. Meals were yummy and good amount. Price reasonable too.

When we entered Wok and Roll, my daughter exclaimed, "I've been wanting to eat here for eleven years!" That's how long since she read Sarah Vowell's book, Assassination Vacation, which is about Ms. Vowell's road trip to visit sites connected with political assassinations. In it she tells about going to the boarding house owned by Lincoln assassination co-conspirator, Mary Surratt.... More

I went to Chinatown for dinner during a conference I attended in August. We decided to try this place out and I must say, the food and service I received was excellent. They have a variety of choices and were well portioned size meal.

Thought we were going to have a "light" lunch and only ordered appetizers. Instead we stuffed ourselves on them. Huge egg rolls and dumplings, larger than expected spring rolls and yummy tempura veggies. Everything was delicious and full of flavor including the bowl of crispy wantons they brought to the table while we waited for our food. Will definitely make... More
