Part of the fun of being new to the neighborhood is exploring the local restaurant scene and the other night we headed out to Ripple. It was after 8:30 PM mid-week so we didn't bother with a reservation and they were able to seat us promptly in a partially-filled dining room. Now I appreciate that restaurants need to make money... Excellent service, helpful when needed. To die for cornbread. Wonderful menu and nothing disappointed. Good cocktails and interesting wine list. And good stump town coffee to tie it all off. Looking forward to coming back for a date night.

It was our 38th anniversary. This is the 3rd time we dined at Ripple. The menu is sourced from local organic farms and now features rare vegetable dishes such as agnolotti with fresh nettles, snap peas, turnip, green garlic and baby kale. It also feature appetizer snacks of fresh oysters, organic foie gras with rhubarb, Sauternes, black pepper and rye... More

I ate a late dinner at Ripple on a Thursday night with two friends. I suggest making reservations as the dining space is quite intimate. The menu at Ripple is New American with a special eye to organic or local beverages. My friend and I shared the Ocean Trout Crudo, which was light, fresh and delicious with a hint of... More

This was an engagement celebration dinner for 11 people, and Everyone loved their meals. They have a good wine list, and are very helpful, but a Malbec or a Merlot would be great additions. Several people ordered the schnitzel, and everyone raved about it. The duck breast was popular, too. However the Côte de Boeuf with a dry-aged ribeye, spinach... More

This was our first time to experience the cooking of Chef Ryan Ratino. We were so pleasantly surprised by the delicacy and finesse. I had the trout crudo made with Scottish sea trout. It was done to perfection with bright, citrusy notes. I also had the beet salad which was so much more creative and complex than most of its... More

What a lovely surprise Ripple turned out to be! The food and service were outstanding. An IT glitsch in the kitchen leading to a delay in our first course was reported to us - we hadn't complained, and were enjoying the lack of rushing that seems to ruin so many American restaurants - with some free wine and a snack... I was at Ripple with a friend to have some drinks. The place has a great atmosophere and a friendly staff. During our stay there the place got packed with people having drinks and/or dinner further improving at the venue. If you're in the Cleveland Park area, I would suggest you to visit this place.

We're normally big fans of Ripple so we naturally turned to them for brunch this past weekend. Unfortunately, things seem to have changed there for the worse. First off, the menu lacked any non-pork proteins for brunch - no chicken sausage, no lox, no turkey sausage...just pork. That aside, the service was slow....like 50 minutes to get our pretty basic... Ripple has a new executive chef, and he is amazing. I have enjoyed this bar/restaurant for some time. They have a friendly staff and mix a good drink. But with the premier of the new menu December 2016 the food here has gone to another level. The truffled hen's egg is like no dish I've ever tasted, and the steak... More
