This used to be our favorite restaurant. Now, every time we go there it seems that the food quality is not up to par and the portion size has been cut in half!

So very disappointing. My husband and I for the past ten years have made our annual pilgrimage to Jazzfest in New Orleans, in the Spring. As much for the food as for the music. When I saw a Living Social deal for the Cajun Experience,...More

Arrived early for dinner with friends. We had reservations. We waited in the bar area for our table. My friends ordered drinks; however the drinks were just ok. We decided to just order our food at the bar because there was no movement from other...More

We went to the Cajun Experience on Valentine’s Day. The restaurant did an admirable job of having a nice atmosphere without it being overwhelming. The general decorations (not holiday specific) were fun and gave the Louisiana feel without being gimmicky. For the holiday they’d sprinkled...More

Went here b/c I got a Groupon and I am a big fan of NO. The decor is nice, but that's about where it ends. The food was mediocre at best and the service was pathetic but that is not a knock on the wait...More

From the framed pictures of Tiger Stadium to the family sitting next to us adorned in LSU attire (it was the home opener that night) we would have thought we stepped into a restaurant in New Orleans. Fried shrimp, oysters and crawfish that tasted like...More

December 2008, during a hard recession in the US economy, a thing most people thought couldn't be done was born. While sitting in a house in Ashburn, Virginia, Bryan and Melissa Crosswhite finally stated the obvious; Cajun food is what the world needs to experience. Five months into the business, The Cajun Experience was featured in The Washingtonian magazine in "Best Bites", and less than a year later, June, 2010, was named one of the "Top 100 Best Bargain Restaurants" by The Washingtonian. The restaurant has also been featured in The Washington Post and The Washington Business Journal. In October, 2010, a second location was established in Purcellville, VA, and The Cajun Experience recently opened in the DC metro area.
