It really would be difficult to recommend this restaurant for one person. The servings are for two or three people. And they are absolutely fantastic, and enormous! The pasta dishes are excellent, and we had the meatballs and chicken alla Romana in addition. Plan to...More

Recently went to the original in NYC and then came to the Washington version for a business lunch. This is NYC style Italian cooking. Similar in concept to Maggiano's which is Chicago Italian. New Yorkers living in the Wash DC area swear by this place...More

Our food was great and tasty! The waiter was new and needed to practice more with a veteran. He forgot to bring basic things to the table which was a little annoying. The atmosphere and quality of the food & drinks made it worth the...More

I've visited the Carmine's in NYC and couldn't wait to try this one when it opened. Clearly, it's taken me a while, but it didn't disappoint. Came in on a Sunday evening and didn't have to wait for a table. Wait staff was courteous and...More

This is a very large facility. I expect they can accommodate groups, as long as you call ahead.

Carmine's is a family style restaurant offering exceptional value to its guests through the many dishes of Southern Italian cuisine. The Carmine's concept is to bring its guests a "wow-factor" sized portions and making any meal feel like an Italian American wedding feast. Platters of homestyle antipasto, pasta, decadent seafood or meat entrees, and of course homemade desserts are all staples at Carmine's, meant for sharing amongst friends and family. When great food and wine are supported by friendly and knowledgeable service, the results are magic - we want every day to feel like a Sunday afternoon at Grandma's.
