Had a fabulous lunch there on Oct 3, 2015 and just adored it. Delicious salad, great key lime pie, and so we eagerly returned on Oct 10 when in the area again, only to find it had closed October 5th!

We found Zest on Trip advisor. When we walked in it was nearly empty. At first I had second thoughts and almost left to go to another busier restaurant. I'm glad I stayed. I ordered the mixed grill. It was great. I had dietary restraints...More
Zest is trying to make a more "family friendly" restaurant along this restaurant row. We had the beer-braised shortribs with cheese grits. It was good.

Nice restaurant in the funky 8th St area. Very good service and fresh, interesting food. Had a nice salmon/salad.

The beer braised beef short ribs were a big hit, but the New York strip steak and Bombay grilled chicken salad were disappointments. The steak had too much gristle and the salad was pretty bland (the chicken, itself was fine, but I expected more zing...More
Spending few day in Washington, we had diner in this restaurant which is a residential area. Very nice offer (Tuesday evening?...) with half price for wine bottles. The menu is attracting and the food is really nice. We really enjoy the evening.
