After talking to the hostess/waitress, the restaurant is on its third owner within the past couple of years. We started out with antipasto. The waitress was not sure if they had what was on the menu. The basics we ordered were ok but the prosciutto wrapped figs had balsamic vinegar glaze over it prior to cooking. The cooks used to... More

My husband and I visited while on vacation in DC at the recommendation of our hotel. When we walked in, the patio was full so we sat upstairs, that was a mistake. After sitting at our table for about 10-15minutes without any staff coming to take a drink or food order another staff member came up and delivered food for... More

Food was good and prices decent. Automatic gratuity built into check was frustrating(20 percent for a party of 4.). Us midwesterners did not think he had earned it. Server was not attentive and on phone. Only 6 of us in the place on a Saturday eve.

I've been to Toscana a few times for lunch, and it is a fine place for some Italian food that's on the cheaper side. The food is it really that impressive, but the wine is cheap and service is very fast. The best part of Toscana is that there is a covered patio on the side so that even during... More

I come here regularly for either lunch or happy hour. The Gnochi is awesome. The linguine is awesome. The meatballs are awesome. They have a bacon wrapped fig that is also awesome. Only areas of improvement are as follows: The lunch wraps and sandwiches leave much to be desired. They are filled with lettuce but not much meat. The pizzas... More

Wow! We lucked into this one! Homemade Italian food done right. We knew we were in a good spot when we walked in and saw the counter full of fresh, home-made pastas. The upstairs is cozy. They also have an enclosed, heated patio. Our waiter was helpful and kind. We ate delicious Pasta Primavera - it was so good my... More

We came there for an early dinner, when the place was practically empty. Our order of salad from the menu was not delivered correctly as they did not carry pickled parsnips anymore. No compromise like a discount or other salad was offered by the waiter, so we decided to retrieve the order. Meatballs were good, pizza was average, but calzone... More

Had lunch here on a weekday afternoon. The service was okay. The panini was very good. Sit outside if you can. Prices are reasonable.

I had a good lunch here . They had a Ravioli stuffed with creamed spinach in vodka sauce . Perhaps a bit much sauce but the atmosphere made up for it . Certainly a good lunch

One of the finest Italian cafe I have visited. Sitting outside feels like sitting in Italy at a cafe. The staff is courteous and helpful. Now the food is just amazing and mouth watering delicious. The chef does a great job with each and every dish. A must go to place if you are near union station or visiting the... More
