Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.

What a great dinner. Started with the cheese plate and the burrata. Best burrata we’ve had. The service from Maria was great. The wine list was not huge but really well done. We got a delicious bottle of Amarone for under $100. There was a party in tuxes, a couple got engaged and we were there in jeans w our teenage kids. This place is just nice for everyone.

We found this on Trip Advisor and it was very good. So good we went here twice! The staff was friendly and spot on with service. The location was perfect too and the ambience made dinner such a delight. We had the squid ink pasta and also the spinach pappardelle. Each were delicious. We also had the arugula salad and the house made burrata. To say the burrata was delicious is an understatement. It was delicious- all the food was. I would highly recommend eating here. It will not disappoint!!

Everything is first rate at Siroc. I especially love the squid ink pasta. I have taken many friends and colleagues to Siroc and everyone finds it excellent. I strongly recommend Siroc for its interesting menu and excellent preparation.

We booked through Open Table and had confirmation of booking and sent a reminder the day prior. We turned up and it was clearly shut down. We had to get our concierge to find us something last minute! Dont book this reataurant or rely on Open Table.

We picked Siroc because it was an easy walk from our hotel and glad we did. Wonderful food, atmosphere, superb service, and staff chatter all contributed to a extraordinary experience. High marks for the burrata!!!!

This restaurant has great food and even better service! They kept our waters filled! The food portions were a great size and came out very fast. They also had a really good GF pasta substitute for any pasta dish! The bread bowl was superb and warm when it came out (though not GF) and once again the servers were fantastic!!

I’m soooo glad I called Siroc to find out they were open! I read the other review that said they were closed and so we almost didn’t come here. Well I’m writing this on May 14, 2022 and they are open Weds. Thurs. and Fridays for lunch and dinner, and on Saturday for dinner only. By the time you read this, they may have been able to add more staff and expand the days they are open. So call them. Don’t rely on Open Table for the latest information. I’m a tourist and I may never get back to D.C. but if I do I’ll gladly come here again. And if I lived here I’d be a regular. My experience is based on just tonight’s visit but I had the best osso-buco I’ve ever tasted. Ever. And the kale+sun-dried tomato+parmesan+caesar dressing changed my mind about being a caesar salad purist - as of tonight I’m OK with this variation, anyway. In this post-covid era the need for staff is so desperate, the service level has dropped at so many places. But the good places like this manage to step up and keep their standards, often by reducing hours and days open instead of understaffing and reducing the level of service. The menu is not extensive and there are several items I was unfamiliar with. But based on what I saw and tasted, I think I’m going to be more adventurous from now on, at least in places where I’m confident the chef knows what he’s doing. I’d order anything on the menu and I’m confident I’d like it. Enjoy!

For our first night in DC, we reserved a table at Siroc which was close to our hotel. Our pastas at this Italian restaurant were very tasty. Service was good, though quick and businesslike.

Romantic dimly-lit ambience. All 3 dishes that we ordered were superb. Would definitely enjoy a return visit. Very unusual for me. Because "Been there, done that" has often been my motto. Hats off ! Loved it !

We had a delightful experience and were excited by the menu. I generally avoid dishes I make myself and there were several that were new to me. We all had appetizers which were all delicious - lamb sausage, a chickpea pancake and a potato torta. Usually I use the appetizer as my meal but I was curious about the saffron papadelle so we all went on to an entree and then of course, a delicious chocolate raspberry dessert. The menu probably changes but everyone was very pleased with their meal and we would definitely return. The wait staff was very efficient and helpful and were attentive without being annoying. I had never heard of the restaurant but we were in Dc for the Van Gogh Immersion and were looking for a place for lunch. So glad we went on instinct.

Family run, gourmet Italian. Had the squid ink seafood pasta and was amazing. The lamb meatballs were heaven as was the carbonara. Perfect in every way.

My partner and I decided to try an Italian restaurant downtown Washington. We chose Siroc. It was a small quaint romantic restaurant. Service was adequate. I went there hoping to try the sweet bread appetizer but unfortunately they’ve discontinued it even though it was on their website menu. The menu was not an expansive menu and didn’t have classic lasagna and spaghetti but in fact had more unique dishes including northern Italian. As with most restaurants in downtown Washington DC it was expensive but not excessively priced. Our salmon appetizer we split and it was delicious. We could have wed more than 3 slices of warm bread. We enjoyed two different pasta dishes both had wonderfully tasty sauces although my “duck breast” was unable to be identified as such. We also split a tasty poached pear dessert. Our glasses of wine were a little pricey but delicious. I would recommend Sorock for a special occasion Italian dining experience.

Severly food poisoned on Dec 19th. Paid 23$ for a bowl of pasta that gave me tomain. Then I had to pay doctor 50$ to give me script for zofran, that cost me 20$ to fill and had to miss work. All in bowl of pasta cost me 550$ and left me lying on bathroom floor praying to die, I felt so bad.
