The restaurant has a pre-fixe menu, but there is a vegetarian selection. They never asked anyone at our table, just served us. Thinking the courses they were brining out would not be questionable. It was also difficult to ask, or get water because they were incredibly understaffed. Our entree ended up being just cous cous. Really? Then they charged us... More

It was OK. Nothing to write home about. The rice and meet were tasty and the kabobs as apps were good.

We visited on a Tuesday in January and the restaurant had about 10 people inside. There was some big party going on upstairs. My friend walked in the front door and the receptionist rudely told her to go back outside and go up the stairs -- only to later realize she was not heading to the party, but to the... More

I really enjoyed the Moroccan mint tea here with my friend. It is a dish, I looked forward to when I visit Moroccan places. The décor has a typical Moroccan touch to it, with the dewans and the tapestry. I had purchased a coupon on Restaurant.com and wanted to try this place with my friend. They have a Moroccan meal... My husband and I stayed up the street and thought it would be a treat to enjoy a Moroccan meal. We ordered a few appetizers, two meals and dessert. The hummus was excellent, as was everything else, but the baklava and moroccan mint tea was the best we have ever had! If you dine here, you have to order the... More

Came here Saturday night and had a birthday party for my wife. The whole experience was excellent. I called about two weeks in advance and made a reservation for 30 people. The person told me no problem! There is a fixed menu on the weekends. This restuarant is great for groups. It can handle large groups of people very well.... More

A warm night, a not-so-in-denial mid-centurian, the various tasty and exotic dishes from a distant land, a sinfully good cake, an alluring belly dancer, a genial restaurant owner, sated and smiling guests, wonderfully exotic ambience, and finally attentive service. All these elements made for a perfect celebration for my long-time friend who now has this night to remember. The visit... More

Loved this very authentic Moroccan restaurant! The only negative is the service was very slow. However, I was not bothered by this, as I just pretended I was back in Morocco and enjoyed my time there. I ordered a couscous dish that was delicious. My mother ordered the paella. She said it was the best paella she has ever had.... More

First time at the new location. Went with a bunch of friends to celebrate. We ordered the family style which was something like $35/person. Authentic menu choices but food was a poor impression of the real thing. I was so looking forward to the chicken tagine. It was fine but not flavorful like the ones I have had before. There... More

The Marrakech is located near the Polomar Hotel in Dupont Circle. I suggest sitting outside if the weather is good. The wait staff was thin and hurried but nice and accommodating. The hummus is excellent as well as the lamb stew they serve.

Our Executive Chef and Owner, Amin Jabri is excited to bring Morocco to Washington DC and share his experience and his love of food with all of our guests. Born in Morocco and raised in a house that catered to royals and heads of state, Chef Amin learned early on how to prepare the delicious and savory food that is so unique to Morocco. After attending culinary school in France, Chef Amin returned to Morocco to begin his own catering company. After moving between Africa, Europe, and Morocco, Chef Amin came to settle in Washington DC. Here he is able to do what he loves and share a little taste of Morocco with the nation's capital. Marrakesh P Street is a wonderful combination of the taste of Morocco and warm hospitality. Upon entering the doors, you will be greeted with the lush atmosphere of a classic Moroccan lounge. Order from some of our classic, traditional Moroccan dishes and experience something completely unique in the heart of Dupont Circle.
