Tryst was our nightly stop for coffee & dessert. Both nights that we visited, there was live entertainment, which was perfect. The cheesecakes were so tasty

Whenever I want cheesecake, this is where I come. It's really good, I like the coffee (quite strong in terms of the number of shots -- one expresso has two, for example), and the service is decently fast and friendly. The music and atmosphere inside is really nice although expect to share a couch if it's a busy time of... More

We toured through the gallery and decided to have a lunch break here. Interesting menu selections. We chose the 1/2 sandwich/salad option along with iced tea. They had several seating options - a couch, quite a few small tables and a nice outdoor patio. Though it was busy while we were there, we only had a 10 minute wait for... More

I went here after ice skating at the National Mall, and it was PERFECT. Cozy setting, good-looking interior, incredible boozy hot cocoa, great nibbles, and they're open late.

We have long been frequenting both Tryst and The Diner (next door), both are good depending on you mood and needs. Tryst is littered with people on couches and tables littered with laptops and coffee mugs. As many people tend to stay a few hours and take advantage of the free wifi, if feels like an open shared community space... More

We booked box lunches for our group of almost 40 to have after a visit to the National Cathedral. They offered a gluten free chicken salad in a cup, with gluten free cookies as an option. The meals were reasonably priced, and they delivered them! Highly recommend.

We called into Tryst while we were spending a relaxing day in DC. Great place for quality coffee, a good variety of snacks and a great selection of beers.

I had time for takeout dessert so I got a slice of mocha cheesecake to go. It was fluffy and delicious with a thin layer of chocolate on top and chocolate crust, yum! Place looked really fun and smelled like good coffee. I'd like to be back there again sometime to sit down and eat.

Great coffee and lots of variety on the menu! Good place to get work done as a college student, but sometimes hard to find a seat!
