Tryst is a great spot for breakfast, coffee and baked goods, and even drinks in the evening. Tryst offers more (and better) food than most coffee shops. Homemade soups, creative sandwiches and more. It's a sizable cafe, but seating can still be a struggle on...More

As someone who’s been to Tryst three separate times, I’ve always been drawn in by the casual “happenin” look about the place but disappointed by staff who take their time getting to you. This last Sunday I simply wanted a glass of wine but waited...More

I came across Tryst through a recommendation for a cool coffee shop to work at for a few hours during a trip to Washington DC. I was expecting a small shop with a few tables and food items. When I arrived at Tryst and saw...More

Good cappuccino, but they often run out of certain foods by later in the day, which was a disappointment.

This was the first place I came to eat on my visit to D.C. last week. I was staying in Adams Morgan so it was just up the road. Really good Cortado and great Avocado sandwich. The place had a cool vibe about it 👍🏼

Eclectic mix of tables, couches, benches etc. Lot of people by themselves with laptops. Those I was with had enjoyable meals and were pleased. I have food sensitivities so I was very limited. Able to make your own salad though and was large, chalked full...More

It's certainly not cheap, and the menu is limited, but if you order it... you'll like it. The atmosphere here is relaxed and comfortable, and the waffles with fruit are delicious. There are so many good places for coffee in this neighborhood, but this is...More

I wanted eggs but they don't serve eggs for breakfast or brunch. What?? Yes it's true. Well, they did have quiche and a frittata. Technically made from eggs. But it's not breakfast eggs. I had bagel with smoked salmon. It was tasty but it arrived...More

Hi there fellow traveler, I don't think they serve pancakes. I have never seen them the menu but their waffles are so yummy!! Especially the sweet potato waffles.
