we enjoyed our lunch here. the environment was very relaxed, the menu eclectic and food was superb. the food was inventive, combined several unique and fresh favors snd was prepared perfectly. note, this restaurant is priced accordingly. slightly unrelated, we wanted to do a wine tasting at the separate but related cellar. after announcing ourselves at the cellar we waited... We had visited this winery as part of our wine tasting tour. We came back later in the day to have lunch before heading back to the ferry. The "shed" sits amongst the grape vines in a very "country" setting. It is a very, very nice lean-to shed with corrugated roof. The service and food, however, was anything but "shedlike"!... More

My friend and I had a wonderful dinner here on Friday night (17 Feb 2017). First off the cheerful and friendly way in which my email reservation was handled set the tone - then the greeting we got upon arrival was just the right mix of welcoming and 'so-pleased-you-could-make-it' without being overly fawning. We settled down at our window-side table... More

My partner and I reckon the food here is the best we've ever had. The whole experience both times we've been has been memorable for all the right reasons.

We stopped for lunch which was a lovely LIver Parfait and a glass of beautiful local Rose - so good we could help coming back later to do the full tasting. A must visit if on Waiheke.

Came for late lunch as part of a wine tour. Staff: Friendly, knowledgeable and attentive Location: Open air seating overlooking the vineyard in beautiful steep hill country Noise: Easily able to converse Food: Wonderful. Went to Friday Fish night where the Shed serves a set menu. It was so tasty! Despite it being set menu, they were very accommodating when I mentioned I can't eat shellfish, and had vegetarian alternatives for the courses which contained shellfish. Lovely staff and very good food and wine!

Auckland Anniversary weekend saw us join some friends on the Waiheke Island Wine Tours, visiting Obsidian, Casata Miro and Te Motu Vineyards for tasting. We finished with lunch at The Shed. Given how busy Waiheke Island is at this time of year, we were prepared for a pleasant, but middle-of the-road eating expereince. we were wrong. While there were highlights... More

Had the most amazing meal last Friday night at Te Motu. Being their set menu $49 for 2 courses, $59 for 3, you don't get a choice what you're about to eat BUT it didn't matter. Our friend had allergies so they accommodated his needs beautifully. All our meals from the paua ravioli, the crispy skinned terakihi to the absolutely... More
