We had a couple of driniks on a sunny Saturday afternoon. We've been several times before and the waiter service has always been slow. I think the only reason we forgive this is because it is such a great setting, right opposite the harbour. The...More

For 17 days in South Island, carefully analyzing reviews, we kept an open mind and searched desperately for a fine dining experience. Eventually we gave up, lowered our expectations, and started eating pies and cryovaced meals. On our second last day we found the perfect...More

Nice setting next to the harbour, good service and excellent food. We had the warm olives, fillet steak, salmon and apple tartin. The steak was the best we tasted in NZ. The apple tartin came with cinnamon ice cream which was a great combination. All...More

Food and service was great in a lovely setting. Only down was that I stated it was a seafood restaurant and actually it only had 4 seafood items on the main menu and one of them was not available and for a romantic meal out...More

The food here was delicious. The lamb was probably the most tasty that I have had in New Zealand and simply melted in the mouth. I finished with a lovely apple tartin. Would definitely recommend Ma Maison if you are in Akaroa. Wonderful service also.

One of the more up market restaurants at the Harbour. Just stopped for an afternoon drink and sat in the covered courtyard enjoying the view. Found the staff to be very friendly and welcoming.

The drive to Akaroa from Christchurch via Lyttelton is just spectacular, you will see the Southern Alps in the distance as you drive through a beautiful green landscape. But when you see the bay arriving to Akaroa, it will take your breath away. I arrived...More

Overlooking Dailey's wharf and the Akaroa Harbour, Ma maison is one of Akaroa's hidden gems. The view speaks for itself! Set away from the hustle and bustle, our Restaurant offers a very private dining experience, one to be enjoyed and savoured.
