Having read some of the reviews before visiting, I was a little dubious. HOWEVER, do not let any of those poor reviews dissuade you from trying what has to be, undoubtedly the best value for money, tastiest, freshest, mouthwatering restaurant in the area. We order two platters for two, the seafood and mixed grill. Cannot provide the right words to describe how incredible the potatoes were. The swordfish was cooked to perfection; the squid melted in your mouth. The chicken wings? OMGosh. sensational. I dare you to try and find anywhere that provides a platter for two, the size of the platter we were presented last night. Easily a platter for 3 or 4 people. As Molly used to say, do yourself a Favour.

Fremantle's restaurant strip has the full compliment of ethnic style food choices including very good quality middle Eastern Street Food offered by Sana Restaurant.
With such a choice of restaurants in the vicinity it was easy to get a table as a walk-in. Evening meals may require a booking.
The staff was most welcoming and had us quickly seated at a window bench with a great view of the "passing parade" and we were offered menus, beverage list and water immediately.
We selected a range of well flavoured, small vegetable based dishes each displaying the vegetable of choice (cauliflower, pumpkin and carrots) with different spices and sauces to tempt the palate. The Lamb Kofta and Beef Tawook were similarly very tasty and the diner had the choice of varying the level of spiciness by the amount of accompanying sauce that was added.
Our accompanying drinks of ginger beer and cider both were cooling should the need have arisen. The beverage list was most adequate.
It was an enjoyable, casual meal and was reasonably priced.

My goodness, what a dinner we had. My friends ordered the platter for 4 and it was mouth watering - the dips were freshly made, the rice was fluffy and tasty, the grilled chicken was tender and juicy and the lamb was perfectly cooked. At $199 for 4, it was amazing value with sides of roasted potatos, salad and dessert incuded. The only downside was the wines by the bottle were a bit pricey. We will be back as the food is too good to miss.

The food is average overpriced , the worst houmos in Perth , the sad part you can not eat Houmos without bread , you get charged $6.00 for a 30 cents Lebanese loaf . 2 skewers of dry chicken skewers $22.00 . Tabbouleh was different but nice . I got asked 3 times how was the food , I am sure they ignored me . It is the place for customers who has no idea about middle Eastern food .

Very underwhelmed for what we spent.
We were here to celebrate a 21st.
The service was incredible slow, although not busy.
We ordered the large seafood platter and meat platter etc..
It took over an hour from starters to main course.
Some of the food on the platters were cold and overcooked.
Although the dips were amazing but very little bread..
Will not return.

We booked for two people at 12:00pm on a Sunday as Sana was booked out Saturday night !
We rocked up starving ( breakfast had not been had) at 11:50am and was seated instantly. We knew what we wanted to order because we had seen all the reviews on Insta and FB.
We ordered the SANA PLATE 2 two beers and two cocktails !
What a feast !!!!
Absolutely amazing - food was sensational, service was brilliant and such terrific value for money ! My new favourite restaurant in perth

Ordered a meze platter for two. The lamb sausages which were part of the meze platter were stinking. I took a bite and that was enough to kill my taste buds. The meat was definitely off! It ruined the whole experience in this restaurant. When you pay $110 for a meal you expect it to be decent.
I’ve let the waitress know about the rotting odour she said she will talk to the manager but haven’t heard anything afterwards. So, we paid and left the place. Never again!
Ps - I have experience working in restaurants for 7 years and I know what is good meat!

Went to Sana on a very busy Saturday night and the staff apologised as there may be a wait. It was worth it for a tasty and filling platter for 2 that is also great value. I will be back to try the individual dishes and cocktails. Thank you Sana team

Plenty of gas heaters in the restaurant but no gas! WTF. It was around 12 degrees outside! The food was fine, however, way way way too expensive for what it was. Other reviews inform owners there is not enough bread to go with the dips ... why has this not been rectified. 4 awesome dips : not enough bread. Chicken was on the dry side. Too many potatoes on both platters, meat was fine. Corn was tasty, nice really. The "salad" was enveloped in one lettuce leaf but flavours were exquisite. Chicken on a stick was like I can cook on my own BBQ, separated with pieces of capsicum. The kebabs were OK. Dessert was miniscule. Maybe offer customers a way to add desert. The women who waited our table were polar opposites. One was friendly but the other was like the temperature in the restaurant ... cold.

We had lunch on Sunday afternoon with our friends. It was four of us, so we decided to try Sana platter for 4. This was the best way to try almost all of the small dishes in one platter. Fantastic flavours, every dish was memorable in its own way. We had to order extra Lebanese bread to complement all delicious dips. The wine was superb. The best of the best of local wines. But it is not just a food. Service was 10/10. Owner was very pleasant and fun kept in communication with all the guests making sure all is under absolute control and people feel welcome and happy. The music was another star in this ambient. The background music was so well selected and after we finished our lunch we enjoyed the music a bit longer. Just perfect experience all around. Bravo SANA team !!

Our family of 4 enjoyed a delicious shared meal. The food was packed full of flavour and we left nothing on our plates. We ordered the chef's starter plate of dips and bread (more bread would have been great). Spiced potatoes, Zahra (cauliflower), Lamb Kofta and Sana Tenderloins. Everything tasted amazing, especially the cauliflower. Service was very fast and the staff were friendly and attentive. We would definitely recommend and visit again next time we are in Fremantle.

I went there with my friends for my birthday to find a horrible customer service, very unwelcoming faces, and careless staff. We asked them to put our cake in the fridge and they refused without taking the consequences into consideration. On a very hot and humid day, they started the service with room temperature water! They didn’t show the slightest concern about the reason for our canceling the order and leaving. We simply felt discriminated against. I hope the owner will consider the manager’s attitude.

We had a walk in dinner without booking. We were hungry, but we couldn't finish the delicious Sana's plate for two. As shown in my attached photos. The flavour of the dips, with hidden background flavours had us discussing what could be creating such a unique taste until I paid and asked the kitchen. They did confirm one secret ingredient. Yum Yum Yum. Thank you so much, we are tourists from Victoria. And really loved the whole vibe of Market St, Fremantle.

We enjoyed our meal here very much. This restaurant serves fresh well presented and well made middle Eastern food in a very nice environment. All dishes were good. Service was lovely including from the French server. This place would absolutely go off big time in Melbourne or Sydney.

We had an excellent tapas style meal at this restaurant. Our chosen starter was the beetroot and pepitas starter which we followed with a dish of spiced 2x cooked potatoes. We followed these excellent dishes with shih tawook and a grilled prawn dish. The meal brought back memories of Mediterranean holidays and delighted our taste buds.
