Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

We chose to have dinner at this French Restaurant. We started with a Souffle, then I had duck, my lady had a beef stew. Followed by Creme Brulet. The Souffle was unimaginely awesome. Best I have ever had. Duck was to perfection, and beef just...as great. Typically, the dessert was fantastic. This restaurant is highly recommended, but booking essential!More

This little gem caught our eye as we were walking back to our hotel and we were happy we stopped in to make a booking. During our reservation we were delighted by tasty and well balanced food. They have a lovely wine selection and provide...a hight standard of service. Would definitely come back and recommend to others!!More

We did not have a place to dine and walked past this quaint French Bistro. It looked so inviting, we went in to see if there was an available table. Lucky for us, there was! Last one. Boy, did we stumble on a fabulous place...to dine. The interior is so inviting, the menu small, but covers all requirements, and the wine list was extensive. We chose a Black Angus Rib-eye with Fries, and a Sole Meunière which was out of this world delicious. Our wine selection was a WA Pinot Noir from Manjimup….delicious. I live in Melbourne, and I wish this was my local, I would be here once a week! Jeremy our host was so French and so delightful. Thanks everyone, we had a memorable evening!More

The passion for good food shined through. We dropped in on chance, but we were found a table provided we could free it up later for a booking. This was not a problem as we had enough time to enjoy an excellent meal. The duck...breasts were tasty and well balanced with the sauce and beautiful potatoes. The fish was perfectly cooked. Coupled with a nice fresh salad, well dressed, these were perfect dishes. The lemon tart had a twist, it had lemon sorbet inside the meringue topping, lovely. A good selection of wines are available to accompany the meal. So glad they could fit us in, we left very happy.More

Staying in Fremantle for a long weekend. Everywhere is very very busy. Came here on a Sunday night. A nice relaxing atmosphere after the noise and chaos of other restaurants. A French bistro style menu. Portions are on the small size which was ok for...us given the excesses of the weekend. Can recommend the cheese souffle (wonderful) and the boeuf bourguignon. Reservations essential.More

Walking down Essex Street, my friends and I spotted this quaint restaurant. We were looking for a nice place to have dinner, and we were not disappointed. Not a huge menu but all the food was delicious, especially the Boeuf Bourguignon, which was excellent, melt...in your mouth. Lovely ambience, great service and reasonably priced. Definitely a restaurant for a special occasion, was lovely to be able to get dressed up and feel special.More

I may not have the words to describe how much 7 of us enjoyed Xmas lunch at Angel's House. From entrees through dessert the food was nuanced, sophisticated & delicious. My duck breast, so often chewy, was tender and the flavour acidic with just right...amount of sweetness. Desserts were creative. The creamy rice pudding topped with nuts and a side quenel of coffee icecream may sound ordinary - but was like no rice pudding I've eaten. The food alone would have made it a memorable Christmas, but the lunch was so much more than the food. The service was fantastic. We had a large electric wheelchair with us and my daughter is vegan. Nothing presented a problem to the staff who are personable and gracious and went out of their way to accommodate us. By far the most enjoyable Christmas lunch I have eaten at any restaurant. Sincere thanks Angel's House.More

I was underwhelmed by Angel’s House. We shared 3 starters and 2 mains because we were excited to try everything! Highlights, the Cheese Soufflé starter & the Duck main courses were delicious. Unfortunately the other three dishes were terrible. The pork terrine was probably the...worst I’ve ever had, it just seemed old and stale and there weren’t enough condiments to mask the flavour. The voulevant special was light and had a nice sauce but the prawns and scallops were overcooked and didn’t seem fresh. The barramundi main was so overcooked it was inedible and that’s a very forgiving fish. The wine was ok..! The service was welcoming and friendly so we didn’t complain on the night but their high ratings aren’t reflecting what we experienced. 2 out of 5 good dishes isn’t close to good enough.More

8 of us booked and from the moment we walked in we knew we were in for a treat. Friendly service and great ambience. The chef talked to our lactose intolerant diner and produced a masterpiece of Barramundi for her. The onion soup was 'magnifique'...and 'classique' and not too large to spoil a following main course. The oysters I am told were amazing. The crayfish ravioli was so different and tasty. The boeuf bourguignon equally good. And simple angus steak cooked French style was superb. Lovely wines recommended by our server. We finished with desserts for the ladies and the special brie for the men. We brought some brie back with us. This was the best restaurant we visited and deserves success.More

After many return visits for occasions and casual outings, we went to the "Mer & coquillages" fixed menu event. We love the authenticity of this place as well as the quality of the food. The service is friendly and efficient without being rushed. After one...of us living in Paris for 7 years and the rest of us making frequent visits to France, we rate this number one in the Perth metropolitan area for an authentic, quality French experience.More

OK service. Onion soup very weak on flavour. This is not french authentic onion soup. The steak was good. But frozen french fries in a french restaurant. Not good. Expensive average restaurant

My partner took me here for a romantic birthday dinner. The staff were excellent and very helpful without being intrusive. We sat in the intimate vine covered garden outside on a warm night. Service was top notch, food reliably good as it always is here!...We had our meals with the wine pairing which was excellent. A wonderful night of delicious food in a romantic, cosy setting.More

Returned for the spring menu: duck, pinot etc Very good. This place continues to present a high quality french offering in freo. I liked the french wine by the glass pairings.

If you are a lover of French cuisine then head to Angel's House in Fremantle. The menu is selective but our table of four was enthusiastic about all our choices: The French Onion soup authentically French, the Goats cheese quiche with a generous amount of...imported French Goat's cheese, the Boeuf Bourguignon and Duck Breast all elegantly plated-up and delicious. The special dessert of the day was a composite of fresh berries with a shortcrust/biscuit base - simple and beautifully presented with taste to match. Similarly the Riz Au Lait - not your every-day rice pudding was outstandingly good.More
