Best family restaurant in Tavira. Always very high standard of Portuguese favourites and standard dishes.

Ate here for dinner. We had the pork steak (sliced thin and grilled) and the bacalhau (cod). Everything was ok...just not memorable. A slow night; only one other couple. Service was polite but perfunctory. Other places to eat that are better.

Been coming to this restaurant by the river for years. Staff always very accommodating. Food tasty & filling & reasonable price given the location. Tonight the ladies (same that have always been there) were rushed off their feet even more than usual but still they coped admirably. Dinner for 3 adults including cover, water, salad & carafe of wine was... More

This is a fairly standard Portuguese restaurant with good food and helpful and efficient staff. There are tables out the back, alongside the river, which get filled pretty quickly in the warm weather, but there are always tables inside when you need them. Food is plentiful and well-cooked and well-presented, and prices are very reasonable.

Have eaten here a few times. It's very popular and often has people waiting to be seated. It has a nice position by the river. Last time we visited we had the grilled sea bass which was very good and great value. We generally drink Planalto and that was competitively priced. Our wine of choice tends to get more expensive... went twice to os arcos, lunch and dinner, mainly for the riverside position with view of the Roman bridge. food is fine, had sardines and chicken, both tasty and well-cooked, and a superb orange cake for dessert. service is responsive and friendly, even though I had to manage in Portuguese. it does suffer the curse of the Tavira buskers (if... I love sitting out by the riverside in summer but in cooler times its better inside, and cheaper, The food is simple but excellent. The interior is plain but its the best value in Tavira.

Always the place we visit first in Tavira. The lamb chops & chicken are divine. Homemade chips, rice & salad. Drinks very well priced. Lovely river view. The staff seem a bit reserved but I think this is as they don't speak much English. Can't recommend this place enough.
