I got this place recommended by my latvian friend and it did not disappoint. Staff is dress accordingly to era of knights and place is also decorated in same style. It is a bit dark with candles lit so you want be able to admire entirely what you got on a plate. Now the thing is following. If you expect... More

On visiting Riga for the first time, we were walking around the not knowing where the best places to visit are. We stumbled across this fantastic place, it was magical. . Candlelit corridors leading to a bigger room all under ground. We had not long since eaten so just had a drink and beer snacks, which were all lovely. The... More

It's a great place to eat and a must go. We very much enjoyed the interior of the restaurant. The food was delicious and the staff was very nice.

Checks it out brah. It's a really nice spot. The food is pricey but delicious. They typically have a medieval band of musicians making circles in the restaurant. You are first brought some old timey bread in a cloth wrap. ✅ order some beers or wine that are brought out in old timey ware. ✅ finally, order the pig on... More

Something a bit different set in a genuine medieval cellar. Medieval music plays and staff are dressed from the times and the lighting is kept to a minimum with mainly candles so it's quite dark which all adds to the atmosphere. Menu is interesting with details as to their medieval origin. Surprising good variety of vegetarian options which was nice.... More

Cool place with a good atmosphere! The waiters wasn't so nice and the "medieval food" did not taste so good. Fun experience anyways though

Found this place last night during a wander around the snow filled streets of riga, opened the door not knowing that the place was even a restaurant and went in to check it out, went downstairs in what we were told was an old wine cellar and it was certainly an eye opener, medieval old ceilings and rooms connected by... The whole restaurant is midievel style. The menu, the drinks, the waiters. You won't get any soda here and prepare to debone your chicken.

Was there for my birthday with my parents. We had just two nights in Riga and this is definitely a place you should visit. All the waiters are dressed in old clothes and speaking with nice phrases. ("Here are you weapons" or, "chicken and duck... it will be a great hunt") There is no electricity only candles. Really an authentic... More
