We came to this place by mere chance, walking around seemed like a cute little restaurant, once inside is big, only light is by candles, which made it really special we order deer, and onion soup, the way they brought the bread and the waiters were dressed it is kind of made for tourists but really special, definately a high... It is very easy to miss this place being situated on probably the narrowest street in Riga and the large wooden door seemed to be shut (well it was a cold January) making the place look closed so look for the door in the signature picture. You go down into a beautiful vaulted cellar, lit by candles with waitors in... More

Stumbled across this place by accident. Awesome place, the entire cafe is lit by candles which creates an amazing atmosphere. The food could be better, but definitely worth a visit!

We've been to Rozengrals twice during our stay. First time we were immediately seated, the second time we had to stand queue, but not for long. I think it's better to book a table in advance. The choice is not very big, but the dishes are claimed to be authentic and cooked after real medieval recipes) First time we ordered... More

This was a birthday surprise for me and I must say it was an excellent surprise! The ambiance and decor were highly in character with the medieval theme. We had the deer ham salad to start and it was absolutely divine and would highly recommend! Definitely worth a visit!

Very nice interior, medieval style bar restaurant. It is a nice place for someone to be and have a snack or a tea.

The place is worth visiting because of its medieval atmosphere. Food is so-so, maybe cause they try to keep it as close to medieval recepies as possible.

Loved the medieval theme be warned it is very dark just lit by candlelight but this made a great atmosphere even the toilets are medieval themed. Food was lovely and lots of it, beer excellent. Staff very polite and helpful. Good choice.

This is a must-visit place not only for tourists but also for the locals. Feel the real atmosphere of the medieval times: decorations (real 13th century walls), waiters dressed in medieval dresses, live musicians.... Now they have opened 2 rooms so there's finally enough place for everyone. This kind of food you can't taste anywhere else: eco, real fresh meat... More

Authentic as it claims to be. Very nice atmosphere. The food is excellent! The beer is very good! Worth every cent of your money! Can be a little crowded, because it is popular with tourists! A must-see location.
