This place was recommended to us thru the walking tour and we went straight to this place after the tour. Food was okay in terms of taste and possibly a bit pricey compared to other Baltic restaurants we've tried. The interiors below are like a cave which I think is nice. It can be pretty smelly though as we came... More

First of all, the prices raised a lot since the last time I was there. Second, not all food was ready. The third in meniu not all the info is written. In some dishes there's pork, but in meniu it's written in the way like it's vegetarian. And the waitress doesn't inform this as well.

We had a nice meal there, typical Lithuanian dishes. Girls were in folk dresses and the service was quick. It is worth eating there once.

Great way to get a taste of some Lithuanian cuisine. Portions are big, dishes are hearty fare, lots of potato dumplings, meats and taste.

LOVED this restaurant. The menu is HUGE. Downstairs you feel like you're in an actual cave. A great place to try very traditional Lithuanian food. Would highly recommend.

To be honest, I was impressed by the interior design and the atmosphere more than by food itself, as they were truly stunning. Nevertheless I really enjoyed my coffee with milk and some veggie stuff. My husband loved his zeppelins (Cepelinai in Lithuanian). The prices are reasonable and fair, especially for a restaurant serving traditional cuisine and having such a... More

I read numerous reviews on this place and was immediately interested in trying mushroom soup in a bread. Unfortunately it was nothing exceptional, but was still good though. The portions are pretty big and you will surely feel yourself full pretty fast. The atmosphere is nice, service too. Regular restourant where you get a nice choice of dishes for a... More

Very good but a bit crowdy place. It was our favorite place for dinner. I recommend it to all. Good Lithuanian beer, delicious food and very pleasant waitresses won't leave you indifferent.

Didn't like this place but I am not sure if it was the place that I didn't like or the local food with lots of fat used when cooked.

Description
FORTO DVARAS was the first restaurant in Lithuania to offer certified meals from the Gastronomic Heritage Foundation. These are meals made in the traditional way, using products of local origin. You can hear Lithuanian music playing in a cosy atmosphere of an old estate, decorated with elements of the old graphics and pictures from authentic books.
