We went to this restaurant after all the brilliant reviews it got. Staff are very polite and smiley, the atmosphere is pleasant, but that's actually about all yhr positives I can recall. The menus were a little dirty, and that is where ee realised that the reviews were not as we hoped for. we had the veil and the beef... More

After visiting the zoo we were looking a restaurant for lunch. The place is quite close to the zoo (5 min with car) in a good area...where you can park easily. All the food was amazing and the service was excellent. A can recommend this restaurant for anybody, anytime. You'll be satisfied for sure!

First of all Chianti in Veszprém has little to do with Tuscany. Apart from its 'gentilezza' charm one attributes to Italy it is a continental European place with traditional local and Hungarian flavours targeting a Michelin star. They have their own suppliers of not only cheese and veg but lamb as well and bake their own bread in the owen.... More

The atmosphere is great. I love the huge fireplace and there was live piano music. The food was not the best I have ever had. The fish was terrible, but chicken and soup were great.

We visited here recently based on a recommendation as well as the restaurant's high rating. Service was nice as well as the live piano music (it was a Saturday night), however when it came to the food we got really disappointed. We had a mozzarella caprese but the mozzarella tasted more sour than usual, more like a burrata. Mains were... More

The service was quick and the staff was nice too. Nice to seat outside. Only one negativum: hard to find the location.

Great service (if your not in a hurry), lovely food. Excellent English speaking staff who were very helpful. My husband at gluten free no problem and kids enjoyed themselves

One of the best restaurants in Veszprem is located in the suburban area. It is close to Balaton. Chianti used to be a pizzeria and nowadays the Italian dominance is still obvious, but the menu offers different cuisine as well. You can try the degustation menu and the a la carte; the waiter will gladly answer all of your questions. If you attend at one of the restaurant's wine event, you'll get to meet famous Hungarian wine makers, who present their products, but if you're just in for a dinner, you'll still get to choose from their rich wine collection. If you fancied the food and you want to take home a piece of it, here's an option. Gault Millau 2017: 13 points
