More than I expected. Like dining in Versailles, or a church. Over the top oppulence. Great service and live music mid-day. A must stop for a coffee or drink.

Been here many times. Not cheap but value for money. This is how gracious living used to be. Will be back again & again & again - every time we visit Budapest

We visited here on our last day in Budapest on the recommendation of some friends. We had the chocolate cake, apple pie, hot chocolate and an orange juice. The bill came to just over £30. The cakes were nice but the hot chocolate was awful,...More

Awesome room, to use the American vernacular, and the Americans at the next table gave that look like they personally built the place, just because of the name. Anyway, you can’t get away from how very glitzy and glamorous the room is - all gilt...More

Waited in line to have lunch on our first day in Budapest but the line didn’t move and when we tried to enquire how long the wait was the waiter walked off. We booked an early lunch on our last day. The front of house...More

Had afternoon tea for two here today. It was delicious. The surroundings of the decor make eating here very special. The service was very good. Although I must mention, the tea was enough for me, but my husband was still hungry. He fancied a chicken...More

We stayed at the Boscolo Residence and had breakfast at the NYC (it's extra). The decor is very "are nouveau", service is amazing and the food is first class.

Heavily touristed but a drop dead gorgeous room. Truly friendly staff and actually ok food. Be prepared to pay a premium for the setting! But one of those once in a lifetime spaces

District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses
the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and
colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in
an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes
and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic
crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of
the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in
Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly

I wouldn't attempt it as previous people have said it is quite busy and the turnover of patrons large. The only thing I would suggest is to obviously ask you make get away with it from the downstairs room.
