The place was crowded but the service was still good. The food and wine came quickly and the waiters were nice. The food was good. We ate pork brain for appetizer and duck breast and lamb for main course. The main courses were tender and...More

What is the best way to spend a nice, leisurely lunch in the middle of the Budapest’s Jewish and party district on the air, al fresco? Come and enjoy traditional Jewish cuisine fused with contemporary international flavours at the Kőleves restaurant at a throw stone...More

Although listed as a kosher restaurant, the menu offers quite a wide variety of both usual and unusual Hungarian dishes. The service is friendly and casual while the dining room is simply furnished with some old world items. Beer, wine and other soft and hard...More

My sister and I came in the other night for a late dinner. We both loved the look and feel of the place - more modern (yet a bit quirky and comfortable) but the food was great! Very much Hungarian cuisine with a slightly modern...More

The place is nicely decorated and the concept is based on a natural food approach with many vegetarian options too, but in general the dishes are more fancy on the menu than the plate. The service has been not so proactive, but fair price.

I made reservations and it didn't matter bc a couple walked off the street and grabbed the better table. Crowded seating for two and quite noisy as well. Service was below average as I had to flag down my waiter for another glass of wine......there...More

Compared to three or four other places that we tried in Budapest and ended up in real disappointment, this place was not too bad. Friendly waitress, good food, reasonable price!

District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses
the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and
colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in
an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes
and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic
crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of
the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in
Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly
