Two friends and ate here last night. One vegetarian, one fussy, one meat eater. The food was good, chicken and pesto rice, chicken and pesto gnocchi and a lovely goats cheese and roasted beets salad. Hungarian sparkling white wine and a bottle of water, and the total bill came to less than £40 in total. The only sore pint was... More

Its a modern trendy styled place where you can sit and relax or enjoy the company of your friends. The service is friendly and English is spoken. Good food at a fair price, not crowded.

Good find by one of my friends with authentic goulash and some good european food. Went for lunch. Left satisfied. Would return and try it again.

Found this gem, a bit out of the way. Comfortable, warm surroundings, attentive staff. Food was very good, the Babar burger and chicken & pesto gnocchi were large portions and SO tasty. Well worth a visit!

Stopped here for a couple of meals which were both beautifully presented and tasted superb. Not a huge selection but more than adequate with something for most tastes. Goulash soup was great as was the Thai chicken soup. The duck was lovely especially with the thinly sliced ginger. Local wine that we tried was most acceptable.

We stumbled across this restaurant on our first night in Budapest and were pleasantly surprised. We were greeted warmly by the staff and promptly show to our table. Waiter was happy to advise on food and wine. Starters were great and accompanied by a huge basket of bread - mains were equally as good and clean plates returned to the... More

Neighbourhood Profile
District VII / Jewish Quarter
District VII is the very heart of Budapest and houses the city’s Jewish Quarter. Its streets are lively and colorful, its buildings narrate different histories in an assortment of architectural styles, and its cafes and bars are frequented and loved by the enthusiastic crowds. Grand and magnificent, the striking star of the district is the Great Synagogue, the largest in Europe and one of the biggest in the world. Distinctly Moorish in style, crowned by the twin onion shaped domes, the Synagogue is the very emblem of District VII and one of the main attractions in the capital.
