This is an excellent restaurant. From the moment we entered, till the end we (a group of 10) we got a full attention of the staff. The food and wine were first class. Just to mention a few: pumpkin soup, venison, and carp fish were tasting buds pleasing. The restaurant was packed for dinner, so if you want to go... More

A year later, this meal is still the best I've had anywhere in Europe. I dream about the tastes experienced here. For Budapest, it's a little on the pricey side, but definitely worth it. I ordered the duck breast which came with cranberry sauce and poppy seed dumplings. OMG. Amazing flavors, perfectly cooked... I couldn't ask for anything more. My... More

If you look for a place where they serve great quality Hungarian food, look no further. We use the restaurant quite often for business dinners with foreign partners. The place is great to give foreigners an insight what Hungarian cuisine is all about. Great restaurant with very tasty food and with one of the most polite staff in town.

This outstanding restaurant serves excellent food, beautifully presented by an excellent wait staff. My venison loin was impeccably prepared with timbale of stuffing on a vegetable puree, a fish cake appetizer was among the finest I've tasted. The wine list has excellent hungarian wines, and the staff can make appropriate suggestions if necessary. Mixed appetizer and dessert plates looked wonderful... More

This restaurant was listed in the restaurant guide which the Boscolo Hotel provided prior to our visit for a weekend in Budapest. Following a review on trip advisor we booked for Sunday lunch which was our last meal prior to leaving for the airport. Everything other reviewers covered was accurate. Excellent food, friendly and pleasant service and a nice selection... More

This restaurant is well located in Pest, and was very walkable from the Prestige Hotel. Rezkakas had been recommended by our tour guide, and she was right! We were a group of ten, and everyone enjoyed their meal.

We were so lucky to get a table without a reservation. Our timing was perfect as a few minutes later the place was completely full. This is a fine dining experience (complete with string quartet) and as such is a little more formal than my usual preferences. To be fair I felt a little underdressed, but nobody else seemed bothered... More

Kind of a 4.5 to us. Nice atmosphere; two rooms, one with a bar; the three piece traditional gypsy combo straddling the two rooms on a small platform. Very nice guys. Casually elegant with soft lighting, nice appointments, famous sayings about wine and food cleverly written on four large blackboards on the two ends of the room. Tasty consommé with... More

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
