We had a great lunch in this gem of a restaurant today. We had the roasted chicken with the ginger mustard sauce and the duck risotto. Both were excellent. The service was very good and the price was reasonable. The restaurant included a "service fee" which I don't like because I don't know if the house gets it or if... More

My husband and I had the Hungarian goulash. It was excellent. We had goulash at another restaurant while visiting Budapest. This one was so much better. The flavor was very good and had a lot more meat and vegetables.

Menza is pretty well-located, with very friendly service and a really good house beer. Try the Goulash on a cold day, it is just lovely.

This a very popular and place with lots of seats in and outside, but always full in the evening. The only way we got in was a reservation a day or two ahead. It was worth the wait. Excellent premises that go much further back than you can imagine. We had a white asparagus appetizer to share and an entrée... More

As advertised and as I read in Rick Steves' book, this was an outstanding place to eat in Pest. It was located right in the middle of Liszt square, very popular among the locals and the tourists alike. We didn't want to wait for our table and ended up eating at the counter table shared with other customers which was... More

As the title says, I had the best duck-breast of my life here. I would recommend it to anyone. Also, the restaurant was very busy when we arrived, yet the staff did find us a table after hardly 5 minutes of waiting.

Having read great reviews about this place we decided to check it out on a very wet and windy day in Budapest as it was a few minutes' walk from our hotel. I had phoned in advance but they don't take reservations at lunchtime. When we arrived it was very busy but they let us sit at the bar and... More
