Thus restaurant serves a modern tasting menu. Overall good, but there were a couple of courses that were not for me. There was a fish course that had a raspberry sauce as one of the components that I found too sweet; and the actual dessert I found not sweet enough. The staff was great. The sommelier did a great job... More

We came with friends as part of a five day trip to Budapest. The place is a wow factor and the service is outstanding and friendly. Great menu which delivers careful and precise use of spices with confidence. Deserts are possibly the best we have ever had. The sommelier was charming and helpful and all in all we had an... More

We came here to celebrate my boyfriend's 25th birthday. Everyone was extremely welcoming and took the time to individually wish him a happy birthday. I can honestly say this was one of the best meals i've had! I had fois gras with pear to start, and then scallops and prawns for main. Both were absolutely delicious! The sparkling wine was... More

The presentations were visually beautiful and delicious, with complex flavor combinations and culinary surprises on each plate. The service was attentive, friendly and well timed. The sommelier, Attila, was ever so helpful and spot on with his recommendations. David, the owner, went out of his way to be friendly and helpful. In short, the evening was a wonderful surprise.

I was there with a couple of friends of mine and everybody was very satisfied with everything. The food was excellent, the cocktails are nice. The wine paring menu is also fantastic. It's gonna be one of my "must go back" places. If you are in Budapest, just go and try it...

We have been several times to Baraka, every single time it was great, but yesterday the new tasting menu was fantastic. Most courses are french-japanes fusion with a hungarian twist. The colourful deer spring roll and the all white goat chees are wonderful creations. If you are lucky, you can try the same amuse bouche which we had. Ask for... More

Went here looking for a special meal on last night in Budapest. It was one of few fine dining establishments open on a Monday. Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
