Boar, Duck, Pork Belly - you name it, it's perfection here. Seriously, if you are a lover of game, do not pass up the chance to eat a meal (or two, or three) here while in Budapest. It's small, so make a reservation.

My friend and I were just visiting for a few night when we heard of this place and figured why not? Needless to say, we had the most amazing meal and one of our favorites ever in Europe. The owners and workers were the kindest people, making sure that we were comfortable throughout the dinner. The food was out of... More

Came here and sat outside on a somewhat cold evening. They provided blankets, but we should have planned ahead and come earlier so we could sit inside. Were served by very friendly staff. The mangalica tenderloin was incredibly tasty and I highly recommend that dish. It was the only time I had it while in Budapest and loved it. Also... More

The place is small but inviting and homely. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The music selection was very good. The food was homely and very tasty. I had a goats cheese salad followed by a goulash with the tastiest, creamiest mash I have had in a long time, if ever. Both very good dishes. My husband said the wine... More

Who would believe that this small restaurant could be so good. A hidden treasure. We were a group of friends, every single dish was perfect. Loved the fact that you can see the kitchen and the cooking in action. So good!!!!

This is a very small restaurant, you may be in a situation where there are no tables available. We took the last table. The food was very tasty. Service was very friendly. It's a family restaurant and the owners (a Hungarian couple) are the waiters. Prices are reasonable. Altogether, it was one of the best restaurants we had dinner at... More

No me... More

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
