While Budapest has some great pubs, and I've reviewed some of them, this one is the absolute best and it's my all-time favourite. It's located right off Jokai ter, and in true pub form has several little rooms with small tables, large tables, tall tables---and...More

Gutted. For me the welcoming Caledonia is no more. No chance I will be eating or drinking at the Cale any time soon. Sadly after a recent change in management & renovations it is a different gastropub. The renovations were NOT AN IMPROVEMENT. Recent change...More

We got a really friendly welcome from the staff here at the Caledonia Scottish Pub. There is a great choice of drinks, local and imported, and a good choice of pub grub and Scottish classics. The haggis burger was a nice twist and was very...More

We visited the pub on the first occasion to check that the football we wanted to watch would be on the following evening. It was. The following evening we had a meal there and a number of drinks while watching the game. The food was...More

I really love the crew here, they are always VERY friendly, kind and helpful with the beer and food choices. I first visited Caledonia about ten years ago so I can say they've always been like this. They are reliably good, very good (although now...More

I visit here regularly when I visit Budapest as it has a welcoming "local" atmosphere. It has a large range of very good whisky and shows British soccer. There are Scottish beers, too.

Hi. The Caledonia is a Scottish pub, so we don't supply hair dryers. Was this question really for us? Regards, Zsuzsanna Bozo

Description
Welcome to the Caledonia Budapest, a Scottish pub. We are a village pub in the heart of Budapest, where you can have pint or two with your friends - or with your work mates, where you can watch your favourite team playing football, rugby or you name it. We are lucky to have so many nice customers, coming back year after year to experience what the Caledonia is: a cosy, home from home "local". What we offer is a great choice of whisky - truly the largest whisky selection you can find in Budapest. Also we have Belhaven beer on draught, with a selection of Hungarian and Czech lager. We also have a good, tasty kitchen, offering burgers, fish and chips, pies and British style sausages. Yes, we also have a full Scottish Breakfast, and yes, we serve Haggis too. Who is behind the Caledonia? I tell you: it's Patrick McMenamin, a Scottish guy from Edinburgh, and Zsuzsanna Bozo, a Hungarian. And a few more Hungarian staff to serve you. You have more question? Did you like your visit? Would you recommend us to your friends? Please do tell us.
