All went for the typical goulash soup, which came in a put with a lid and was very tasty. You need to get your food first (can't leave one person sat at a free table) then staff will seat you. It's a quirky place and it was full of locals. On Saturday afternoon there was a bit of local entertainment.... More

Given the hustle and bustle of the market and the other eateries, this was a very pleasant place to eat. We had lunch on Monday, after visiting the market and I was desperate to have goulash. The staff are very pleasant, our tray carried to the table in a peaceful and comfortable setting. We had goulash, bread and a drink... More

We were surprised that there's a restaurant in the market hall. More of a bistro style. Food is okay, great for a quick lunch. Service was peasant and helpful. Prices also OK All in all a nice place

Their sausage & potato dish is amazing too! I actually had a food valet escort my meal to the table. Excellent food, excellent service! Check it out in the marketplace if you're ever here.

We came across this by accident when hungry, roaming around the Central Market. It is a buffet style large cafe, the food is quite nice but felt it was expensive for what it is. I had the goulash soup which was very nice and my husband had chicken leg and chips, we also shared a bowl of layered potato, which... More

This is the only sit-down restaurant in the Central Market and we decided for it instead of the common tables and benches of the multiplefood places in the market. It was a mistake. The food is just OK, a 6 out of 10 although the portions are big. Although it's a buffet you basically have to choose one of their... More

Went here thinking it would be great. The food portions were small and overpriced. I mentioned i would like to get a combination of rice and some meat. They charged me $12 for it! Then it was a cafeteria style so people behind us are like hurrying up. Prices were not cheap either, a bottle of water was $3! and... More

Walking thru the Central Market made us Hungary...pun intended....the Chef Gabor talked us through the many dishes for which we had become interested in and made very good recommendations for a complete meal. The goulash is remarkable, we had homemade sausage and a potato dish with creme fraische that was amazing. Gabor invited us back to make us breakfast.....and we... More

A party of us went here for lunch while in Budapest in November. It was quite busy and it was basically a self-service lunch. So you grab your tray and queue for the food. As it was busy, the staff are somewhat abrupt not that I minded. They also spoke in English (at least some of them) and were helpful... More
