Great service and great food. Best steak I have ever tasted - the flavours were incredible. We also received complimentary bread, which was also very good quality. Although pricier than a lot of other restaurants in Budapest, the quality you receive would cost a lot more comparatively in many other Western European countries, where currencies are stronger than forint. Therefore,... More

The food was great, but highly overpriced. The taste of the expensive wine the sommelier recommended was mediocre. The waiters were very polite. I found the atmosphere too plastic.

We visited with friends on our first night in Budapest. I cannot argue with the quality of the food - it is excellent and ranks with the top steaks I have had in the world. The prices are high by most peoples standards and the serving time from ordering seems a bit slow; although I suspect this is due to... More

Had a great meal, the steaks were amazing as were the side dishes and dessert. A little on the expensive side but worth it. Service was good and friendly.

I had the opportunity to visit with several work colleagues that gave us the opportunity to sample a variety of steaks; wagyu, Argentinian, Australian, USDA Omaha and ribs. A real treat! We visited on a Monday night and hence service was very good. I would definitely recommend it. The wine selection and the general atmosphere, in addition to the fine... More

I like the place, I like the steaks' choice, I like how food is served and finally also like desserts. The missing star is due to the long wait needed for your food. Price isn't cheap even for western countries standards.

We were hungry for some steak on our last night in Budapest when we found this gem. I have to mention that we arrived completely underdressed. Nonetheless, staff were absolutely fantastic and showed great knowledge of the menu. Definitely had the best steak of my life. When asked for dessert menu our waiter brought out a show plate with all... More

I have visited restaurant with my colleagues for business dinner at beginning of February 2017, as we have been looking for some steak restaurant. Prime Steak is absolutely incredible restaurant, top quality - meat, wine, waiters, everything is real high class. I chose schrimps as a starter and then prime selection of steaks (containing 5 steaks 80g each), and they... More

Staying in District V / Inner City

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
