The service was fine and setting nice. However the food was un-enjoyable, it was pretty oily and heavy, the opposite of what we were hoping for. It was north of £20 for 2 people which was not good value IMO.

Great choice of vegan sweet and savoury dishes, but the real standout was the coffee, which really was the best I have tasted since being vegan

We stayed in an Air Bnb located just down the street and were happy to stumble in right as they switched over to lunch. The woman who helped us, I believe she was the owner, was very nice and answered all of our questions about our choices. We ended up getting a little bit of everything and it was all... More

Some of the best vegan food in Budapest. You can get a daily platter, which gets you a bit of a number of dishes, or you can pick and chose the food that you want. The portion sizes are very generous. You will not leave here hungry. The staff speaks English and is always happy to explain to you what... More

My first vegan meal in Budapest and it was great. The lady serving the food was really helpful and friendly. Served me a big portion, food was delicious and wasn't too expensive.

Ordered the classic burger with potatoes and salad, the price was slightly higher than other places in Budapest, but wow, they gave me an incredibly large portion. Beautiful salad, it had a fantastic spread of vegetables and nuts inside. I couldn't finish the entire meal because the portion was so large, so arrive starving! The staff were very friendly and... Finding vegetarian or vegan food in Hungary, including Budapest, is not easy but nevertheless my hopes were high especially as I could sit outside as it was a warm evening. The staff were great and spoke sufficient English to ease my inevitable nervousness as I speak no more than 6 words of Hungarian. The range of foods and drinks was... More

Burgers were great! The paprika chutney, even better!!! The green pea soup had a good flavor. Excellent value for money.

We discovered this restaurant on the way back from the castle. It is in a quiet location but at the same time is great to sit outside in the sun. Having just gone veggie, we were really lucky to find this place. We had one of the veggie burgers which were amazing. They had an great choice of food and... More

Nice place. Had the cauliflower soup, delicious but cold. Has a freah juice. Also delicious. My wife ordered a veggie burger with potatoes and salad. It came without the potatoes even though they had them when we ordered...but apparently they ran out. The people that came after us took the potatoes. The burger had good flavor but it was old.... Staying in District I / Buda

Neighbourhood Profile
District I / Buda
The historical center to a city with a multifarious and intricate past, Buda has some of the most outstanding buildings in Europe and an enviable natural landscape with stunning views onto the Danube. Centered around the Royal Palace, it provides a glimpse into the golden years of the Austro-Hungarian empire and the lives led by the aristocracy at the time. Matthias Church, beside the palace, hosted many events attended by the royal family and was the chosen place for the coronation of Franz Josef, one of the Hungarian Habsburg kings. Having admired the palace and the church, a visit to Buda will be unforgettable by the stunning and memorable panorama over Pest offered by the seven towered Fishermen’s Bastion.
