I eat in the basement and it's like a cave. So special, with special musician play music. Special wine cost only 5 Euro which tastes so good.

If you want to try Hungarian wines go to this restaurant. Very nicely renovated old cellars of Budapest. Very competent staff. I prefer beer than wine but there I was happy to made an exception :)

The restaurant is located underground. It is a wine cellar cum restaurant. It operates tour groups businesses thus expect it to be filled with people for dinner. Helpful waiters and waitresses. Free WIFI. Had dinner and wine pairing here. All Hungarian wine. Enjoyed the Hungarian Gypsies Show. Love the music "Danube Blue", it just lessen the tension and set for... More

Dear Mr Szilicány, the lunch we had, was simply unacceptable. The chocolate you mentioned, was already there on the table, when we arrived. Not a compensation of bad food and service. The soup was made out of frozen vegetables, no taste at all. During the first course, we got nothing to drink, not even water. I´m vegetarian, my main course... More

This was by far the most disappointing place for us during our work groups visit to Budapest. Every course was something I do not wish to eat again. The starter soup looked and tasted bland and simple. The main dish was the worst of all with the dessert bringing it all together with an experience of utter dissatisfaction. The music... More

Dear Timo, Thank you for your comment! We are very sorry that we could not fulfill all of your expectation. Your food was typical Hungarian simple menu choosen by advance, peas soup, chicken paprikash, cottage cheese cake. After few days of your visit, unluckily, we can't change your food, the easiest way if you tell our waiters on spot, they... More

A group of 14 of is were in Budapest for a hen do and this was one of the activities planned for us, and what a great choice. They accommodated a stripper at the beginning. And the lady hosting the session was really friendly and welcoming - I cannot praise her enough. She made a really effort to make the... More

The best wine dinner I've ever had. The atmosphere were excellent, the food, the serving was perfect, the wines matched the food, and the live music was great. It was my first, but definitely not my last time. Thanks for this incredible experience!

Had a 5 wine tasting for 3900 forint per person. The wines were from all over Hungary and the manager gave us quite a great history and geography lesson on Hungary and their development of wines. The wine selection was great. We ended up buying one of the wines that we tasted. The store also has an amazing wine cellar... More

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
