Not a bad place. The good include the chicken wings and decent beer (soporini) prices. They advertise this as a good place for sports and whilst we were able to see the matches, mostly, the teles were too small and very difficult to see if you're unlucky enough to be sat on the other side of the bar. Small but... More

Let it be known, I like Irish Pubs. I like Jack Doyles. Fun atmosphere , 1 sports screen, lively crowd, open til 2. Enjoyed a short stay after dinner. I didn't try any of the food, but has a solid drink menu.

Visited for tea during a short trip to Budapest and was beyond pleased with everything at Jack Doyle's!!! We ordered food, nachos to start and then chicken goujons and my partner had the Guinness pie. The portions are HUGE and amazing value. But so tasty, not lacking in anything at all. I would recommend the pie, the gravy was so... More

We enjoyed an evening here recently while in Budapest and enjoyed the food, the atmosphere and the friendly staff. A wonderful night as a nice alternative after so many great nights doing purely Hungarian

There are not many Irish bars owned and run by Irish people, many are not genuine Irish bars - this is the best Irish bar that we have visited out of Ireland and would definitely recommend. Great food (genuinely surprised how good it was), great atmosphere and very friendly Irish staff. Definitely recommend a visit.

We visited the bar the weekend we ordered food the the food was great reasonable price , but the staff a little rude . We ordered food and drinks and insisted that we payed the bill before the food and drinks came . If staff work on manners would def got a higher rating

Hi Scholesy, Thanks for visiting Jack Doyle's and delighted to hear you found the food great and reasonable priced. We have a policy @ JD's that when it's very busy or the staff are dealing with very large groups we always ask the customers to pay when they are ordering, this just prevents confusion later if customers end up staying... On any holiday to Budapest we always pay this fantastic Irish Pub a visit as we know the atmosphere here is always spot on especially if the sport is being shown. A big single roomed pub with all the usual Irish bric a brac you would expect from an Irish pub,a long serving bar and plenty of seating options,it really... More

Neighbourhood Profile
District V / Inner City
Discover the Inner City along the banks of the Danube, with its fashionable shops and iconic buildings. The Inner-City Parish Church and St. Stephen’s Basilica stand out as two of the finest examples of architecture in the area. If you are still hunting for more historical treats, then the ruins of the medieval city walls on Kecskeméti Utca are a must-visit while the Soviet War Memorial is also worthy of attention and relevant to Hungary’s more recent history. If shopping is on your itinerary, then be prepared: the market squares in this area are an absolute delight, particularly during the Christmas period, but even throughout the year you’ll find the latest trends in the shops on Vaci Utca.
