I had pork stew and my partner had cheese & bacon dumplings and both were delicious. We both had the apple pie pudding which was more of a apple pie crossed with a crumble and came with chocolate ice cream and cream. Again it was...delicious. Very cheap too and a nice female waitress who spoke good English.More

Meals are really good, traditional polish cuisine, very tasty, but the service should be more polite. Although, I recommend this cozy restaurant in the center of the city.

Great little local cafe that serves traditional Polish food while listening to American music. The pierogis are fantastic. You are In Poland so don’t expect the gregarious warm welcome. But the gal working the front was nice and served us quickly. This will be our...Base of operations while we are hereMore

I visited Wroclaw on vacation and was excited to try Huberus as I had walked by a few times during my stay and noticed that it was always busy and the prices were good. One evening my boyfriend and I walked in and sat at...a table. We were NOT greeted or given a menu for about 15 minutes, so I decided to walk up the the bar and asked politely if I can order a drink at least as I noticed the servers were busy at the time. I spoke to what seemed to be the owner (in polish as I can speak the language) and she demanded that I sit down at a table as service is only offered at the table. I explained to her that I had waited 15 minutes and there was no service. She then again told me in polish "go sit down and ill be at your table in a few minutes". Great, I walked back to the table and she was back in a few minutes and asked me for my drink order, thats when I should've walked out. At this time there were about 3 other tables in the same position as us waiting for menus that were sitting longer then us. One family got up and said they were leaving because they weren't helped, and that they waited longer than us. Fair enough I would have been angry too. This is when the owner of the restaurant pointed her finger at me and called me a liar, stating that I hadn't waited 15 minutes when other tables have been waiting longer. She blamed me for other tables walking out and said that it was my problem that her restaurant is losing business (this went on for about 5 minutes). At this point the entire restaurant is watching this crazy woman yelling at me. Little did she know I was a tourist. Not to mention the server looked like shed rather die the work at this place. Disgusting.More

I went to this place because it was recommended in the forums, so gave it a try. It is central but not on the Rynek, which probably makes it more affordable. Very cheap traditional food! I had the Zurek (sour rye soup with sausage and...potatoes) and meat pierogi with a side of tartar sauce. Everything really tasty and yummy. The service was also good and it was very full (with many watching the Champions League final on the TV). I was served very fast and I also arrived a bit late, so good to see that it was still open.More

This restaurant was located just around the corner from our holiday rental apartment, and me and my partner dined here twice for dinner during our short stay in Wroclaw. We very much enjoyed both our meals. Hubertus serves straightforward, tasty Polish fare, and is good...value for money given the portion sizes. One our first visit, I went for the wild boar stew with dumplings - this was delicious, with a rich hearty gravy. My partner went for the spicy pork fillet with mushrooms, and this was also very good - well cooked and seasoned. We dined quite late and they were out of boiled potatoes, but these were swapped without fuss to fries to accompany my partner's main course. On our return visit the night after, I opted for the spicy pork dish that my partner had had, and he went for the Greek salad (admittedly not a traditional Polish offering!) The pork was just as good as the previous night, and my partner was very pleased with his salad - generous amounts of feta cheese, and a well balanced dressing. The staff were pleasant and attentive, and spoke good English. The menu is also available in English, making the ordering process much simpler. We had a couple of glasses of beer/white wine each with our meals, and the bill came in at a very reasonable total each evening. Dining out in Wroclaw/Poland is generally cheaper than in the UK, however some of the restaurants around the corner from Hubertus on the more touristy main squares were priced significantly higher, for very similar types of dishes. Hubertus delivers excellent quality at great value, and we will certainly go back on future visits to Wroclaw.More

Went in at 9.25pm for a drink and were told rudely "we are closing in 20 minutes" Stayed and had a drink while they cleared up round about us and they turned away 9 people in that time. Attitude was awful. No way to treat...tourists. Will never be back and that's a shame because it's in a lovely location.More

A typical Polish restaurant serving traditional dishes, inexpensive, clean, friendly and perfect place to experience the local cuisine. Inside is limited, however there is outside seating to accommodate the overspill. Its popular place with locals and tourists, if you don’t mind waiting 15 mins you...can usually get a seat.More

We visited this superb restaurant and bar on our last holiday to Wrocław were we had a great time and on our latest visit to here we had a very pleasant time. I love the look of this place,a light and airy interior with great...decor and furnishings including a cool looking serving bar, there's plenty of seating options spread throughout Hubertus both inside and outside looking out onto the busy and bustling streets were this restaurant is found on. We were here on a Tuesday afternoon, greeted warmly by a very pleasant member of staff who took our order of a cola for my brother and a flat white coffee for me,after a short wait our order arrived and we just chilled out and took in the great restaurant and bar we were in. My coffee was outstandingly tasty, served steaming hot, you can tell they use quality ingredients in their coffee and take great pride in the coffee they serve. On this visit I cannot really comment on the meals as we were only here for drinks but I have ate here on previous holidays to Wrocław and the meals are superb, proper local cuisine served at fair prices, this probably explains why it's so popular. We really enjoyed our drinks in here before we moved on and as on every other visit to here we had a great time. Hubertus is easy to locate on Ul Biskupia,it's on a busy shopping street and not far from the wonderful Old Town and Rynek. A great restaurant, one I highly recommend you visit if your in the area.More
