Visited while for lunch while in Gdyna. Found their lunch menu and thought it was very reasonable at 20zl per head. The reason that it was 20zl per person though was the portion sizes were smaller than the portions on the children's menu. The krupnik...More

Just a quiet early evening drink before pierogi! Turned out quite expensive for a couple of beers, cokes and then waited ages for a hot wine/ tea to be produced. Quaint atmosphere and pleasant enough.

Starts early enough to provide good meal at the beginning of the day. Probably the best option in the area. Prices of breakfast are very good, not much waiting, good choice of meals. I have no chance to be there after 8:30am.

Breakfast is very important and the people at Tawerna understand that just as much as I do. Drinks are included in the price of your breakfast, you just help yourself. Then a very nice waitress comes to take your order. They're very quick and the...More

Prices for food and drink not as good as other venues in the area. Did not dine here but children would like the aquarium.

Description
The Tavern Your favorite place in the heart of Gdynia! Usual customers call us "The Green Tavern". Maybe it's because there are many green elements in the old ship mess hall-styled interior or maybe because a genuine tree trunk has grown into its center. It can also bring to mind Green Ireland, about which many chanties had been composed and sung. At the Tavern, you can not only listen to sailor songs, there is also good rock music played live here - every day starting from 8 p.m. The rush here never dies down, except, maybe near 5 o'clock in the morning, when last guests are leaving and we have to tidy up the hall, clean it up and prepare for serving breakfast. Its cost is between 7 and 16 pln, so it is very popular. Delicious, giant-sized omelets baked with cheese are worth recommending. After having such breakfast you will probably get hungry only in the evening. However, those who consider lunch as the most important meal of the day, as well as those, who enjoy lunch for two or with friends, will be satisfied with the rich and original food offer from the Tavern. The Tavern serves mainly fish and seafood. We offer thirteen main courses with sea fish, as well as with fish from the Kashubian Lakes. Guests admire halibut steaks, sea feast and mackerel icefish. Seafood enthusiasts can order shrimps fried in butter, wine and garlic or Marinara pasta. Our cuisine is one of a kind and it makes you want to come back. Or maybe it is because of the mood created by wooden floor and tables bathing in warm, golden light, a bar encouraging with colours of carelessness and hope for adventure? Or maybe just plain moments of relaxation, good time spent at a place full of great atmosphere, with great music and food? See for yourselves. The Tavern's Crew
