Excellent place. Nice food, including interesting Polish, Kashubian, etc. dishes. Atmospheric decorations. Everything is in style, from serviettes to walls. Kind personal. Very recommend to visit.

I had a lovely time enjoying a very tasty meal while watching the beautiful old town. The restaurant has a nice balcony, which makes eating there very enjoyable. I had zurek, a delicious Polish soup made with rye, sausages, and served with hard-boiled egg, and a portion of pierogi (aka Polish dumplings) with various fillings. The portions were quite big,... This is a small place right in old town. We ate sitting outside watching the people and activities. Their combination plate of different pierogis was terrific.

My wife and I had dick and pork ribs and the dishes were both magnificent. The service was wonderful and the outdoor seating provided a panorama of entertainment. I can highly recommend Velveteka for bot food, service and location. We would go again.

This is a small place, but the food is wonderful and the waiters are very friendly and helpful. We had a dinner in the evening and we liked the food so much that we came back next day for lunch. For even better experience choose to sit outside, you will get a great view of the Neptune and the buzz... More

This rather small restaurant on the corner of Dluga Targ serve traditional polish food at reasonably prices. Food is god and service very friendly. We ended up going here twice, once for lunch and once for dinner 😄

In one of the best locations, opposite the Town Hall and the Neptun's Statue, where the Long Street (Ulica Dluga) meets the Long Market (Dlugi Targ), can be found the 'Velevetka', which advertises itself as a 'Regional Restaurant', and that often means here: Kashubian. From this language (or Polish dialect) also comes the name, which apparently means a 'marriageable girl'.... More

We enjoyed our meals at this restaurant. Portions were generous and the food was presented in interesting ways. Service was efficient but staff were rather offhand. They were friendly towards a young group of diners they appeared to know, but the same welcome was not extended to us, which left us with a rather negative impression of the place.

Amazing restaurant, the food was excellent. I live in Norway so I am used to high prices, here the price of 3 beers, one starter, one soup and two mains was around 40usd (which is impressive taking into account the size of the food) I ordered the Golonka and it is one of the best options, however, I do recommend... Coming down to the basement location, I expected a more "mysterious" or exclusive menu. Instead, it was a very average list of meals that didn´t bring out any excitement from me or my friends. A quick and friendly, although not too knowledgable (but cute), waitress took our orders with no hickups, the food was ready in a jiffy and tasted... More
