Staying at hotel in same street. Restaurant was good place to end long day away. Varied menu, freshly cooked. Perfect for warming yourself after a long day in the open air. Friendly welcome from chef/owner (?) English not spoken, but appears to be understood. Again, a bit of Czech seems to go a long way if you make the effort.... More

Lovely, friendly place, run by a husband and wife team. Pizze were really good, promply prepared, served with a smile. We had a lovely evening here, perfect if you like a quieter night away from Brno's busy restaurants.

Carpe Diem was just a short walk from our hotel (Europa) so we thought we would try it. It smelled a bit of stale cigarette smoke as we went in which was a bit off-putting, but things improved greatly when the food arrived as the pizza was very tasty with a good crispy base and plenty of cheese and tasty... 3 min walk from our hotel in Brno (Europa). Great food, we both had pizzas and they were lovely with plenty of toppings. It's cheap and has very helpful and friendly service. If you have a dessert try the apple pie, it is the nicest cake I have ever eaten and is nothing like a British Apple pie. I would... More

Handily located in the same street as the hotel I was staying in. I visited twice for dinner once on my own and the second time with friends. It has two eating areas one for smokers and one for non smokers. On my first visit I had 0.5l Pilsner to go with the meal of soup followed by pasta and... More

We are here on a Weds evening at 8 pm and were the only people in the restuarant, that didn't matter to us. The pizzas were good and excellent value- total cost around £10 with two drinks as well. One tip - have the Urquell beer rather than the Rozel, the latter was really not good.

This is actually quite a good place to go and in particular their lunchtime menus often feature Balkan food, as the owners are Bosnian. Despite that they do like to charge for everything. They mainly serve pasta dishes and pizza, but they do not put any Parmesan on the table. A portion of Parmesan costs extra, as does more milk... More
